Hey, it's been almost 5 years since the UN Paris Agreement went into force. Good job on meeting your emissions targets... (checks notes) 1 out of 197 signatory countries!

Is "like" an accurate way to reply to this post? Facepalm? Both?

    We're fucked.

The catastrophic damage that severed B.C. from the rest of Canada

For one of the only times since the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railroad in 1885, every single Canadian land route to the Pacific has been cut. Extreme rains brought a series of devastating floods and landslides that have severed the Trans Canada Highway, the Coquihalla Highway and both major rail lines over the Rocky Mountains. Unstable conditions have also forced the closure of the Trans Mountain pipeline and critical gas pipelines serving the City of Vancouver.

nope, don't say 'all of us'. I didn't sign those accords, pretty sure you didn't. Shame on them.

record high temps of all time in England all week. Blacktop airstrips were melting and flights had to be redirected. Most of the country doesn't have AC's. Thousands have died in the rest of Europe already from this heat wave. Glad that Biden's focus recently was doing everything he could to expand oil consumption here at least.

I'm just outside of Niagara Falls (Canada)...it seems like our entire country is on fire. Tomorrow's supposed to be even worse somehow.

We went through this last summer. In fact it hit when I was in Eastern OR seeing NIN in Bend. I came over the mountains going home & it was Blade Runner. Lasted a long time, too.

We're under air quality alerts where I am due to wildfires in Canada and now the Boundary Waters. It was smoky and even smelled of smoke when I left work earlier today. Thankfully I have a stash of N95 face masks so I've been wearing those when I go out. We rarely got air alerts like this until a few years ago. I know to expect them in late winter/early spring when things are thawing but there's cloud cover but in the summer months it was unheard of.

False claims that heatwave is bogus spread online

I feel silly gloating about a hurricane but the track of this one is going straight towards the guy who moved from here to there because "that DeSantis guy is doing a lot of good stuff" so I'm a little torn on that. I guess I can feel terrible for the people who cannot get themselves out of a bad situation and laugh at the ones who put themselves in harms way on purpose.
