Sooooooo, I got drunk on Saturday night. Way too many cadillac margaritas, patron and palomas. It's Monday night and I have finally recovered.

Try a Manhattan sometime if you've never had one, I fucking love them. Way better than a Martini.

1: equal parts Jack Daniels, Jack Daniels and Jack Daniels, with a single shot of Jack Daniels.

2: combine Jack Daniels, Ice, Jack Daniels and a straw in a glass however fucking big you want.

3: Drink it outta the bottle. thats why its square, so i can druink it easier.

I like White Russians, Whiskey Sours, Gin, and Kraken Rum. Generally a beer man, though the devil in me is already scheming about mike's post.

White Russians are fucking amazing but I'm shit at making them and other than my old watering hole I've never found them anywhere for less than $5. At my old regular bar they were $3.50 each or $6 for a double, most of their cocktails were priced as highballs. It was a glorious place...

Easy way I've found is to pour both the kahlua and vodka at the same time, with pour spouts in place go about 3/4 full add cream. They used to be my shit so I can make them pretty easy though if you get it wrong it's hard to fix.

An old fashioned with woodford reserve or sazerac rye
A perfect manhattan with a cherry using Buffalo Trace (fun fact: there's a buffalo trace pop-up this week for London Cocktail Week and I get all my drinks free because I brought them 6 new patrons)
A vieux carre - I'm less fussy about the bourbon used here.

Of course this is all dependent on some shitty bartender not raping the mixture.
@Charmingly Miserable - I don't get on with tequila unfortunately, unless it's in a margarita.

Agreed. See also the waitress at Bassoon that didn't understand that making your own bitters in-house was a good thing. We ended up walking up to the bar for a second opinion to have a private masterclass on how to make your own from the head bartender.

I found a recipe for home-made Irish Cream the other day, might take a stab at making a bit to see how it is. Would be nice to have some on hand without paying $20 for it.

On the rocks. Actually, I need to figure out the difference between whiskey and bourbon because I really only drink bourbon. Tonight, I feel like drinking a lot, but I'm by myself.

That's never stopped me before. Also bourbon is just a type of whiskey, like how ale and lager are just types of beer.

    1. Slippery slope, but tonight I'll take it.
    2. Hahhaha, I prefer IPA so this makes a lot of sense. Thanks. Oh, Knobs Creek, yum

MMmmmmm Knob Creek is amazing. Only get it once or twice a year though, it's like $60 a bottle here.

Hehe, I use beer myself for those purposes.

Or if I have a bottle of hard liquor, a shot of that.
