He honestly said that? Was never much a fan of his solo stuff, even if it's not a drastic departure from WZ.

His motives? Riot Fest threw WAY more $ at him than he makes night to night on a regular tour or at one of the billion butt rock festivals he headlines throughout the midwest and south. That's his motive. The audience at Riot Fest has no interest for his solo bullshit.

I'd love to check this out b/c that Astro Creep material is so strong, but it does take alot out of it that it's not a White Zombie reunion.

I dig RZ's solo stuff just as much as White Zombie - why do I see so much hate for his solo material and him not being with WZ? People's ears are broken.

On a side note: I just received my free Target vinyl in the mail, and it's a crazy good deal, I love it!

I love both but anyone who thinks WZ is worse than RZ solo is whack. Astro-Creep 2000 can never be touched. I wish some days that WZ never called it quits. I LOVED the last few tracks WZ pumped out (like Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks and Cannibal Girls and The One) and always wondered what would follow if they had kept at it.

Honestly, there people that think his solo stuff is "better"? I'm not going to begrudge anyone for liking Rob's solo stuff (it's pretty generic and watered down to me), but one has to be cray cray to think it's better than WZ's output- limited as it may be.

This 1000% It isn't that I don't appreciate a lot of the solo stuff.... it just doesn't make me groove the way WZ stuff does. I never find myself looking up guitar tabs to the solo stuff. I only ever crave wanting to learn the WZ songs cause they are just so much stronger.

"Murder school is now in session" clip from 31. This movie hasn't excited me much in the buildup until now I've seen this scene. Love it -

This instrumental is allegedly a Rob Zombie song. Can anyone identify it? Thanks.

"Allegedly" according to who? This sounds like something that would play in the background of a video game or similar.

I found it on an old compilation I made of rare White/Rob Zombie songs. I don't remember what it's called. It's probably legit but I'm not sure.

Perhaps these people are morlocks or something.

I wouldn't shit on Rob's solo albums at all, they're certainly fine works. Hellbilly Deluxe is fucking fantastic.

Point in fact, I remember everyone saying when it came out, "Wow, this ain't no Astro-Creep but it's damn great." Which is kind of a testament to how amazing WZ had become at that time.

Anyone out there pick up the It Came From NYC box?

this is all I can find from Riot Fest. Really curious if he can still pull off his best material, and how the solo band covers them :

Just watched all of the Riot Fest performance and it made me wish WZ was still a thing. I always forget how god damn good Astro Creep is. Flawless album from beginning to end.

I'd say minus the lower pitched vocals, I think he still pulls it off like he did back in the day. Even back then he seemed out of breath.
