I'm OG with them. Been a fan since '01 when So Sedated... came out.

I know this is their biggest song, but i just love how fast it was. And I think they nailed the Swedish melodic death metal worship perfectly on the riffs here:

Just now discovering Spacetime Continuum / Jonah Sharp. Yet another fantastic artist I came to know through NIN. And altough I'm not THAT into NIN as I used to be, it goes to show how influential NIN has been for me as a listener to music. Thanks, Trent!

I remember when I first heard them. I was watching Headbangers Ball on MTV2 back in 2007 when they showed the music video for Demon(s)! I promptly found Deliver Us soon after!

I heard of them fairly recently and checked them out. I tend to stand 30 miles away when it comes to deathcore but this band does it sooooo sooooo well. Fvneral Moon is wonderful. I needed something new to listen to and I'm glad I found them.

New old 97's album, Graveyard Whistling. It's fucking COLD. These guys INVENTED alt country/no depression and they're still fucking doing it, extremely well, 25 years in. Good god i love it.

If anyone wants the new Old 97s album, PM me.
They are the band who plays this song that's on the radio, and they played on Late Night with Seth Meyers last Monday and CBS this morning yesterday i think.
Anyway, i think they are the greatest band this side of NIN and i've been going to see them and listening to them for 24 years.
The fact that they've been together for 24 years and this is their 11th release is a trip. They are true pioneers and trailblazers.
I know that they would probably get mad if they knew i was giving their album away for free, but the way i see it, if you become a fan, you'll go to the show and maybe buy a T shirt too, so i've been flinging my download left and right now that it's officially out.

OH. Also, this is probably their best produced album. It FINALLY captures their raw, nasty sound. ALL of their other albums have been too "clean."
It's like a No Depression version of Blackstar, dealing with impending death and mortality and such. It's called Graveyard Whistling.
So just holler at me if you'd like the files.

I don't know why, but I naturally assumed that Eagles of Death Metal was going to sound something like, I don't know, Death Metal. This is so damn good though. Have listened to this track quite a few times today:

That moment where it goes, "I'm not the lover man that you want me to be" is absolutely awesome.

Bloodflowers is one of the most underrated albums from a popular band ever... maybe the most underrated that I can think of. Adore by Smashing Pumpkins comes close in how underrated it is though.

bloodflowers is what got me into the cure. it came out when i was 13 and was very important to me. i still adore it. "watching me fall" is up there as one of my favorite cure songs along with "the same deep water as you" and "the kiss"
