People have different tastes and if it doesn't align with yours that's okay, so stop getting defensive. People are allowed to have differing opinions on a *discussion* board.

I apologize if I seem defensive. I'm really not trying to. Especially over a stupid cartoon. I don't care for differing opinions. I know this is a discussion board. I'm allowed to have a differing opinion also and allowed to have a discussion over the differing opinions. That's all I am doing.

Telling people that they are oversensitive and that they need to HTFU is not a discussion. It's you infringing your opinion on others as the only one that is right.

Yeah but I wasn't trying to do that. This show is not offensive. The humor is actually pretty light. I know these claims are subjective but compared to other shit out there you WOULD have to be pretty sensitive to be offended by this show's humor. That's all I was saying, yet I'm the bad guy here because someone thought their feelings were being attacked. If it's not your thing, then cool. I get it. I'm not insulting anyone so the passive aggressive facepalms can stop.

Anyway, to those who actually want to discuss the show, what are some of your favorite jokes so far? Mine is the Earnest Hemingway joke in the Rick Potion episode.

Most of my favorite [Adult Swim] shows are off the air (Delocated, Tim and Eric's Awesome Show, Great Job!, Check it Out with Dr. Steve Brule (hiatus?), SuperJail!), etc.) so I don't tune into [Adult Swim] as frequently as I used to. I never actually looked into this show really. I might do so, episodes are on YouTube.

Fun sci-fi show with some surprisingly heartwarming and surreal moments sprinkled in from time to time - it's very similar to the stuff Futurama was able to pull off during its run...

The new episodes were great, especially the second: "Holy shit, this guy's taking Roy off the grid!"

Didn't watch the leaks, but the 1st episode aired last night and it was great. “If I die in a cage, I lose a bet.”

Was coming here to post that. Fantastic finale for another great season! Can't wait to see where it goes next year (I really hope we don't have to wait a year and a half!)

and i watched the entire rest of the first season yesterday after i got home from work. holy shit. so funny. i think i had to shut down the part of my brain that normally gets super offended by things (which is a weird concept) and then i was able to more fully enjoy it. i got pretty freaked out by the Spoiler: jelly bean rape attempt but felt much better at the end of that episode when revenge was served.

also, the end of "something ricked" Spoiler: where they go around beating the shit out of deserving assholes was so satisfying it was ridiculous.

    wubba lubba dub dubs!

When I first heard about it I was a little interested but the more disgusting elements kind of put me off. That said, everything else makes up for the stuff I find a bit queasy. I'm glad they eventually put more focus on the whole family than just the two characters. It feels like the show has become more insular with regards to the "regular" world the characters live in.

This, Bob's Burgers and BoJack Horseman are setting the bar that The Simpsons started with, but taking it even further with the kind of emotional depths that can be reached now.

Yeah, I can't imagine a more unappealing commercial for a burger joint.

Holllllllly crap. Just finished the second season. Last episode had a very surprising - and amusing - musical addition.
