Damnit, I just now read that the new album has moved to April.

The Dandy Warhols will release their tenth Long Playing MaxigrooveŽ, entitled This Machine, on April 24, 2012 through The End Records (http://theendrecords.com/). The release, produced by The Dandy Warhols and Jeremy Sherrer, is made up of eleven songs written by Courtney Taylor-Taylor, Brent DeBoer, Zia McCabe, and guests David J (Love and Rockets, Bauhaus) and Miles Zuniga (Fastball). The album’s cover was painted by artist Hickory Mertsching (http://hickorymertsching.com/). This Machine will be available on compact disc, long playing vinyl record album (like they had in the past), and probably digital download, you know, for walkin’ around.

New Dandys! Right on.

I still love "13 Tales" to death. The horns in "Godless" get me every time.

^ Classic.

Unfortunately I can't afford a show at the moment. Still, I'm unphased because the new record will be upon us soon...

Woot! Going to the Austin show, I've yet to see these guys live and I'm excited for it, it's only been within the past two years that I've gotten into them, but I love them.

Thanks to this thread for reminding me how much I love these guys and to go back to them after too long an absence...

I was really into Dandys Rule through Monkey House. But, I have not cared much for the last 2 albums. Overall feel like the band has gotten a little lazy and kind of Portland house-band-ish. I saw them before 13 Tales came out and during the Monkey House tour both times were pretty great. I still love those first four albums but have lost interest in seeing them live or getting to optimistic about new music.

Damn torrent file password bullshit.

Does anyone have this stream rip?

Edit: I just learned how to rip it myself...decent enough for my train ride.

Well I feel this is a pleasant, good album. Gets even cozier as I listen from afar.

Getting strong mixed reviews from what I've read...which is always amusing to see as has been the case with them pretty much all of the time. Odditorium... was hailed as commercial shit but damn that album has good flow, vibe and just strikes a thick chord. Earth... also received serious flack but that's such a fun record. And well crafted. WTF.

Such a reject band.
