I haven't been following up on Hed PE in a while. I listened to their first three albums again to discover that I still like Hed PE. I also like the new Hed PE as well. If anybody would actually like to check them out, I still don't think that you can go wrong with Hed PE and Broke. So, what do you think of Hed PE? Are they good, okay or horrible to you? If you might've hated or disliked Hed PE in the past, did your opinions of Hed PE change?

At the time, 15 years ago, in the context of nu-metal, HedPE were OK. But unlike Incubus, who found mainstream success by excising the nu-metal elements in their sound, HedPE just sunk further and further into oblivion with a string of records that got shittier and shittier. Broke was good, but I've hated everything I've heard since then.

I thought "Broke" was the shit...when I was 12. "Bartender" used to rock my shit. I had no idea these guys were still around.

I actually like Blackout, got into it when it came out. And Broke is probably their best work. I would say that the rest of their albums are shit but I've definitely gotten into a few other tracks since like Represent and Renegade but in no way do I consider it "good" music

Apparently you haven't been attending any of the recent Juggalo Gatherings...

What about the self-titled debut? Or were you just talking about everything after Blackout? (I was just wondering though, and I'd understand, because there seems to be a division between Hed PE fans that listened to them before they left Jive Records, and Hed PE fans that are only or just mostly into their post-Blackout albums.)

What did you think of the self-titled debut? (I'm just curious.) And yes, Hed PE is still around, but they've gone through many changes since leaving Jive Records. I think there's only three original band members left in Hed PE.

Thought the self titled was okay. I think "Ground" was the name of the song I liked, it's been at least a decade since I've heard it. "Broke" was good for what it was. I probably listened to that album as much as I did with "Hybrid Theory" or "Significant Other" or even "Follow the Leader".

1st album is the only thing of merit this group ever put out. I love it from start to finish. perfect example of how to marry rap & the "nu-metal" sound of the time.

everything after got less & less interesting & noisy, and just dumber & more pandering. tour the first album only, id go see them. they'd also play bigger shows. otherwise, have fun playing small bars and getting 30 minute opening slots of nu-metal re-tread & package tours.
