New album out today. I also figured he REALLY needed his own thread outside of Odd Future, as, since the dissolution of that group, he's put out some incredible albums, become a whole queer icon, stepped his production game up to an unreal level, won a Grammy or two, and, generally, completely outgrown the shock rap/horror core/skate rap of his youth.

Igor is one of the two or three best albums I've heard in YEARS, along with the first Billie Eilish. I've got high hopes for this one.

It looks like he's taken on a new personna for this one: he was the lovelorn Igor on the last record, and now he's Tyler Baudelaire. Back in the day he was Wolf Haley. He's the David Bowie of rap.

I LOVE this album, btw. It's different than Igor...it's heavy like the old stuff, but WAY more tasteful.

Edit: it isn't full album, but he plays NINE new tracks. I won't spoil what the other ones are.

So, after the Grammys and the BET awards, I was actually asking my wife out loud, "Wouldn't it be awesome if Tyler did a full production stage show?"
(Although she loves Flower Boy and Igor, she still thinks I'm insane for loving Yonkers and Tamale and such, so, she didn't care,)
