march 11 is a great day (this is my birthday!).

The setlist of the show at House of Blues used to included "Something I Can Never Have", "Hurt" and "Starfuckers, Inc" that are not on the only known video..
Are they really three missing songs from record ?
From where is the known setlist ?

One of my favorite NIN shows I've been to, if not my overall favorite. Memorable for alot of reasons:

- halfway to AC we realized we forgot the tickets at home
- first time I'd ever seen a legit show at a casino. Was blown away by the idea of having a room directly upstairs from the venue.
- unique NIN show. Started late to begin with, and then NIN didn't go on till closer to 11 iirc bc their smoke machines set off the fire alarms lol. No curfew bc it was in a casino. Loosey goosey approach to the show and setlist. Trent was very talkative, but also pissy and yelled at his team a few times.
- Deep
- I remember losing it when Home started, as that was the With Teeth song I wanted to hear the most and hadn't yet at that point.

I was at that show as well...my first time seeing NIN! I remember the fire alarms going off too, hah! I got pumped for Deep! My folks were there too, and Deep is one of my mom's favorite NIN songs. I was pleasantly surprised to see how talkative Trent was.

A year or so later, I saw Girl Talk at that same venue...totally different atmosphere from the NIN show, hah. That was also a blast.

Setlist is known from tour journal reports at the old ETS (which died in 2011).

Still not losing hope of the archived version of the board coming back online someday @Leviathant (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=1)

According to the stats gather with various database operations, (have a look here : https://happinessinheresy.com/nine-inch-nails-concert/2006/), it makes House of Blues as one of the longer show of 2006 (more or less 112min, only de moines would be a very little longer).
For a show that begun later than expected I wonder if these 3 songs had really been played.

the tour journal reports couldn't be wrong ? would love reading it for sure !

bobbie solo wrote above that these was no curfew, as the venue located in the casino

Here's the tour journals forum section archived: https://web.archive.org/web/20060427033130/http://www.echoingthesound.org/phpbbx/viewforum.php?f=17&sid=135fa23959cd958af1f77ad9fd5173ae
Unfortunately, individual threads mostly weren't saved here

Also, the video recording is certainly not complete, you can tell that it cuts after each song that was captured.

There was a static archive up from 2014-2016, hosted by Greg. I'll ping him about it and see if it's something he still has a copy of, but as of now the URL returns an nginx starting page.

Interesting note about this show...Aaron North did not finish the set (so HLAH was played as a 4-piece). He bashed himself in the face with his own guitar during Starfuckers and had to get sutured up. I remember on the old ETS Tour Journal, I completely went off about Aaron’s overall stage presence/attitude and got shit on. Apparently, people thought Aaron North was super cool back in 2006. I stand by my assessment...worst NIN member of all time.

I know.. but this is strange to cut during Something I Can Never Have, after less than 20 min of show.

Also Hurt and Starfuckers, Inc are really closed so why two cuts ? maybe security trouble... of course..

I would understand a song in the middle of the show.. for a battery swap.

that's why I wonder

If you pay close attention to the youtube video that you're likely watching, you'll notice that the recording is full of cuts, it in fact consists of many individual clips merged together. So there's nothing surprising that the taper skipped some songs.

edit: botley already said the same thing above

Having cut between each song isn't a strong proof the taper skip some songs. It can only be an edit format or his way of recording to save some battery.
If it missed 5 or 7 songs, ok, but why only 3 and 1 in the first part of the set and 2 at the end of the set.
This taper recorded nearly 2 hours of gig : at this step he probably wanted the complete gig.

I'm sorry but I always doubt and want radical proof of everything.
This is how I found a lot of mistakes on live dates and setlists.

This is probably the right setlist.. but maybe not and for the moment it's blur for me.

Alright, here's the first page of tour journal: https://603631e7b4346.htmlsave.net/
You made me go ahead to dig deep into one of my hard drives. Back in the day I did save the fist page of every tour journal thread from WT tour. Who knew it will become useful 15 years later

Edit: the link is dead by now as I just wanted to find a quickest service to share a page w/o registration. But anyway, I have the pages and reading them is fun!

Finally got my mom out to a NIN show for Tension. She was obviously pretty impressed. She came to the first Radio City show in 2018 too.
