With 2020 finally drawing to a close tonight (thank god), my mind has been drawn to what new albums will or may come out in the next 12 months. Despite being a super shitty year overall, 2020 did actually yield quite a lot of great music. Here's hoping 2021 continues that trend! My current list is below. What are you excited for in 2021?

• Ashes Divide – TBA
• Baroness – TBA
• Death From Above – TBA
• Foo Fighters – Medicine at Midnight
• Ghost – TBA
• Guns N' Roses – TBA
• High on Fire – TBA
• Jerry Cantrell – TBA
• Mastodon – TBA
• NIN – TBA (Maybe? Hopefully!)
• Queens of the Stone Age – TBA
• Royal Blood – TBA
• The Smashing Pumpkins – sequel album to Mellon Collie & Machina
• The Smashing Pumpkins – Machina deluxe reissue
• Weezer – Van Weezer (this was supposed to come out in May of 2020 and the first couple of singles sounded like a promising return to rock & roll form)
• Weezer – OK Human (described as "piano-based, very eccentric, with strings already recorded at Abbey Road" & produced by Jake Sinclair, who did the White Album)

Not likely to come out this year, but MAYBE:
• Cake – TBA (they've supposedly been working on an album for several years now and it was at one point said to be coming out in late 2019. I'm not holding my breath, but I'm hopeful)
• Metallica – TBA (probably gonna be another year or two, at least)

wow, incredible list!! I am looking forward to The Prodigy and Orbital the most...there's a new Leftfield album anticipated? Been a few years since the last one and I thought it was great. The latest Chemical Bros album wasn't my favorite, but I would love to hear a new one. Amon's been on fire with his new label. Underworld is one of the greatest!

looking forward to new Lull, Mick Harris's ambient project. I know he has new Scorn and other stuff he's working on, but Lull has always been my favorite. along with the list above, hopefully NIN too, that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

No concrete announced albums, but new stuff by kilowatts (https://kilowatts.bandcamp.com/) and Daniel Avery (https://www.danielavery.co.uk/) off the top of my head. Any new TR&AR or NIN, obviously. The forever due Cure album? Oh whatever DFA1979 are up to!

Ghost

Probably what I'm MOST excited for this year! (unless NIN puts out a new full-length LP)

This year I can't wait for Megadeth and Anthrax releasing their new music. Maybe Metallica will also put out their new CD which is hopefully better than Hardwired!
