I figured some of you may appreciate this. With a little convincing, my wife let me put the spiral graphic on our wedding program and RSVP. We also had "Just Like You Imagined", "The Fragile", and "We're in this together" as ceremony music. I love my wife. :D My sweet little mother in-law actually apparently tried contacting TR in an attempt to have him write a "blessing." She wrote to the old Nothing Studios New Orleans address. Hehe. It was a nice gesture at least.

I assume mine will be a NIN-themed wedding via broken promises, shattered dreams and threats of suicide.

i had my DJ play the In The Club/Closer remix at my wedding & everyone loved it and caught on, knowing my NIN obsession. I had The Hand That Feeds during the cocktail hour too I think. I kept it poppy.

I can't imagine my wedding without Nine Inch Nails. Neither can my girlfriend.

That's so cute. When we got married in 2000, we used "La Mer" as our wedding march. We got married in a planetarium, so as we stood there, they had spiraling galaxies over our heads. I can never imagine not getting married to the sound of NiN. Then again, our son is named Trent, too. :)

^^^ That's awesome. So I wonder how many of us ETSers have kids named Trent? Cause that's our plan too. We already refer to our future (yet so far nonexistent) child as "Baby Trent." Our friend's son is named Jeordie (as in White) too. I just hope that my kid grows up to to appreciate TR as much as his parents do. Some parents teach religion... Nay! I will teach Nine Inch Nails. :D

This reminds me that I had a (female) teacher in high school whose first name is Trent. I still wouldn't consider it a gender-neutral name, but apparently it can be (and she was born somewhere in the late sixties or early 70s, I think).

Love the TDS graphic on the invitation, and I LOVE the matching ink you guys got!

I got married in 2002, and we had a generally goth style wedding, where everyone attending had to wear either black or purple (or both). We played the still version of the becoming and Get Down Make Love. We still have the "wedding mix tapes" that we made, and we listen to them pretty frequently.

Thanks man! I dig the black/purple requirement.

Very nice! Coincidentally, I'm about to get married and am doing the requisite "freaking the fuck out," and the thing I've latched on to lately is that the soon-to-be-missus won't let me play any NIN during the wedding.

why don't you pick a , quiet instrumental track (maybe from the still area) and ask her to okay that. this way you could have some nin without making the inlaws cry etc. A warm place, maybe? Most people have a very narrow idea of what NIN is.
That's the way i would go at it.

^^ Agreed. Or maybe the string quartet tribute to NIN?

Rockabye Baby NIN might also be a good idea.

Tomorrow is my 10 year wedding anniversary. I got my wife a vintage platinum watch, and she wanted me to get something engraved on its back side: something romantic but not cheesy and something that still reflects who we are as a couple. This is what I came up with:
