I'm looking to get the Sin font (as hideous as it is) but I'd like to get the others too, especially more recent ones. I did a quick Google search and only found dead links. I figured it could use it's own thread. I'm on a Mac too.

should probably just bookmark this site, because it rocks (http://collections.portraitofdecay.com/fonts/)

Nice, that didn't come up when I was searching. Thanks!

Rather than start a new thread, I'm going to make a random addition to this thread, for the sake of clarity.

If you're not satisfied with "Reznor Broken" and "Reznor Downward Spiral", you should seek out "Akzidenz Grotesk Pro Bold" and "DINEngschrift" respectively - the latter, when used in all caps, is also the font used for The Perfect Drug. Akzidenz Grotesk is used for the nothing logo, as well as the 'ninetynine' promo/tshirt.

After taking some photos of the Closure packaging and running the results through WhatTheFont, it looks like Adelon Serial Medium is the typeface used on Closure.

The "wretched" font was made by myself and Chad Keenan (mokeejc) back in 2000 or so, basically by doing screen captures of nin.com flash files that had the "Jen Sans" font embedded - I don't think you will find Jen Sans online anywhere, because David Carson or one of his buddies probably made the font himself.

Things Falling Apart and other late Fragile era artwork featured the font "Index" - have fun searching for that online. I actually bought that font back in 2000 or so, for $36.

Index is somewhat similar to good old Arial Narrow with spaced chars.

Hmmm. You could employ the same phrase "somewhat similar" when comparing a Kia Amante (https://www.google.com/search?q=Kia+amante&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=GW2gUJC3FoHh0QGO4YCQDQ&biw=1680&bih=900&sei=Jm2gUMX5NvGM0QGmw4D4CA) to a a Jaguar S-Type (https://www.google.com/search?q=Kia+Jaguar&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=QG2gUM5Ug9_RAdiBgaAF&biw=1680&bih=900&sei=Rm2gUPXzO7O20AG_l4DACg#um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&authuser=0&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=Jaguar+S+type&oq=Jaguar+S+type&gs_l=img.3..0l10.4621.7052.0.7275.17.10.2.5.5.0.14 5.886.7j3.10.0...0.0...1c.1.jShikgJf7v8&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=e13fe430571090c6&bpcl=38093640&biw=1680&bih=900), but even then, the two are more similar than Arial Narrow and Index Book. Arial is extraordinarily plain, Index pointy bits and big serifs on the "I" character. Maybe you're confusing the fonts? I'm talking about the font used here:

The word 'arial' makes my head hurt.

I was talking about WITT, AATCHB, Still and The Fragile. If you look at the letters, W, ', G and R are the ones that are visibly different. While it's another font, it is very similar to Arial ^ Sorry profane.

I should know, I did those years ago (http://www.flickr.com/photos/marius-andrei_dima/4875091633/in/set-72157624687067404/).

And yes I thought Index was the one used there as well.

Ah - I think that would be the uppercase text of JenSans, aka "wretched" - I don't think we were able to find enough high-resolution text to do the whole uppercase alphabet, which is unfortunate, because it is a nice typeface.
