So much intensity tonight! Not a single new song and all of Broken except Last and out of order. That was easily the best performance of Wish I've ever seen.

Was wearing my ETS shirt and the guy I was randomly next to struck up a conversation about it. Jeff, if you're lurking and reading this right now, it was great meeting you and swapping NIN stories!

Hell of a weekend. I really hope these nights got recorded!

What a fuckin' show!

best show I have ever seen!

what a difference between last night and tonight. Not a single song passed 1997!

this show went by soooooo fast!
not a single dull moment! Not a dull moment at all!

i can die happy now. Amazing show!

I'm going to say it now... last night was the worst NIN show I have ever seen out of 23 and tonight was the best!
best show ever. Well done Trent! Thank you!

Fuck yes.

This one beat Brooklyn 2 for me, which I didn't think was possible any time soon.

This was also the last one for me. What an incredible run. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to my shows this year.

Yep, that setlist was worth the trip! I rarely get teary at concerts but The Perfect Drug got me going. The world can end anytime now and I'd be totally okay with that. I was further back tonight, realizing now how much more intense being close to the rail makes the show.

Kinda bummed that they didn't play AATCHB, which was really what made me spring for the cross country flight for tickets. However, I really can't be disappointed after tonight's set. Highlight for me was definitely A Warm Place, which was completely unexpected since I don't believe they played it often on this tour and while going into Somewhat Damaged on Tension was great....going into Eraser is how it's meant to be played. The only song on the entire set that I'm "meh" on was Sanctified.

Also, my money is on them playing TDS in full at one of the LA shows. I think they've played all of them at some point on this tour and they played them in order tonight.

This show was so. fucking. good!!! So happy I trekked down to Vegas to catch these. I was itching for some live NIN again, and this show was the perfect way to fill that craving!!

Finally chatted with a few ETS-ers after being a lurker for was feels like decades. halo33 (is there a way to tag someone on Tapatalk?), I was the bearded Canadian dude you chatted with a few times, and had a beer at the bar on night 1 when we met Ilan. Shoot me a DM if you end up performing in Calgary! Would check it out!

Holy shit. What a set list and what a pit... what a pit (https://youtu.be/7onrPWcOUFA).

I was planning to go rehydrate during a quiet song. That didn't happen.

So glad security weren't being assholes this time.

I feel like the thing about playing breakdowns from Please and the Only Time during Sanctified and Closer is that I would really like to actually hear Please and the Only Time, which are two of my favorites

Last night, I saw NIN perform in 2018. Tonight, I saw NIN perform like it was 1998!

This was an amazing night & I’m guessing a lot of balls were punched-off at some point during the show.

I’ll have to add something more coherent once I’ve landed back home. Regardless, it was wild to see so many ets folks in person. TR should really consider a bi-annual NIN convention/residency so we can all rock out together more often.

Setlist was amazing and the band just sounds so damn good...The Wave Goodbye setlists were great, but the band just didn't feel as aggressive and vital as they do today. NIN in 2018 is "heavier" than they have been in a long time (imo).

I saw both nights in Vegas, both great shows but the setlist for night two was just amazing. The only downside to the show was that I suffered through the opening act and JAMC (who I don't like and have now seen 4 times on this tour) to secure a spot behind the ADA section where everyone was supposed to stay seated. A woman who was 6 feet tall in flats at a minimum, was wearing 6 inch heels and the ADA section was on a 6 inch riser, so she was literally 7+ feet tall...she stood most of the show and her "dance" move was to raise her arms as high over head as she could and gyrate "seductively..." So, essentially, arms raised she is a solid 8 or 9 feet of obstruction. Security actually made some other people sit down but inexplicably ignored her. It was hard work not letting that distraction take me out of the show.

I forgot until just a few moments ago that yesterday morning while eating at Mr. Lucky's a guy from a table of four a few over from us came up to my wife and me and asked if we went to the Saturday show (I was wearing my NIN hat).
"Yeah! It was awesome!"
"Did they play Closer?"
"Yeah."
"FUCK."
"They also played The Perfect Drug and no song newer than 1997."
"We already saw the Perfect Drug. [to someone at the table] HEY. THEY PLAYED CLOSER."

And everyone else at the table got bummed as well.

Baffling.

Got home from Vegas tonight. Had a great tourist-y weekend as soon as this show ended. Tritonal at Marquee, lost $100 on roulette, got my foodie on all over the Cosmopolitan & at Lotus of Siam, Penn & Teller, Voodoo rooftop lounge, Twilight Zone mini-golf thanks to this board & a little excursion out to Red Rocks Canyon. I'll post more vids tomorrow, but here's the encore (sans Hurt bv why bother with a Hurt video in 2018) from above on the side GA:

Way better than JAMC... Good God. Nothing like these dudes warming up the crowd, only to have Jesus and friends put them back to sleep.
These guys were defiantly interesting to say the least. I wasn't completely bored of them.

So I was front center rail, when the lead singer of HMLTD jumped to the barricade and turned around (facing the stage, back to us, shirtless, sweaty), standing essentially right in front of, yet between, my spouse and I. He was up against the rail. It was as if he wanted us to do something--touch him? Bring him into the crowd? Well, we did nothing. It felt really awkward. As he was standing in that spot and I was thinking what do I do, my thoughts wandered to what would I be doing if that were Trent instead, and before I know it, time passed and he jumped back to the stage. Was I supposed to do something?

I thought they were one of the best NIN openers I've seen. Right up there with the Vegas opener in June. The music was interesting, even if outside my normal taste. And they were entertaining as fuck. I wish they would have swapped with JAMC because good god those dudes boring.

Lol! Pat on the back maybe?? I must have been a few people to the right of you, saw him do that and thought he was going to do something as well.

I remember Alice Glass from Crystal Castles doing that when they opened years ago, it was weird, but a few pats on the shoulder from a few people, then she was back to the stage!

@NotoriousTIMP (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=17)'s bootleg for this show sounds absolutely amazing. Seriously, man, thanks for taping and sharing this.

I can't stop listening to TPD. The crowd reaction when the intro starts is unbelievable. I had full-body goosebumps hearing that cheer explode down on the floor and they get triggered again each time I replay this recording. The reaction was SO loud. I wonder what Trent thinks when he hears that each time they play it and if he mentally kicks himself for not making it a regular part of the set sooner.

I really can not stop reliving this show. It was about half way through when it started to dawn on me that it was nothing but old stuff and I kept hoping they wouldn't ruin it. I remember right after "Closer" I was praying that "Copy of A" would not start and got my wish, lol. Speaking of "Closer" I felt that it was right and very fitting to have it in the setlist. If it was any other show I might have said other wise but it being a 2018 version of Further Down the Spiral it just would not have have been complete without "Closer". When the encore started I just knew we'd probably get "Dead Souls" but in the back of my mind I kept thinking , what if they busy out "Down in It" or "Heresy" but was still content and really fucking happy to get "Dead Souls". I just can't express my gratitude for this show. I was unable to make it to Friday's show and accidently seen the first three songs played that night and left the internet until after Saturdays show, I must say if the roles were reversed and I only made it to the first show I don't know how I would live with my self. I was able to finally check off some bucket list songs after seeing Help Me I'm in Hell & Happiness in Slavery , Mr. Self Destruct ,Dead Souls and fucking The Perfect Drug. Wow is all I can say still!!! I got Phyisical played for the 11th time (total show count, not times I've seen it) since I seen it in KC in 2009 also, so glad and thankful for the return of Suck, Reptial and Sin being played at a show i was at since my show in STL back in 2005. I'll never be able to top this show EVER. I was at the Memphis show back in September and to be honest this Vegas show was so much more than anything I hoped Memphis would have been.

Damn! that's sick! I wish I ran into Santa Claus on the street too. I would have loved one of these. How much was it? And he had multiple for sale?

After the show, I went searching for people selling bootleg merch, but couldn't find any lol.

After the Paris show in June, my girlfriend and I tried to dupe one of them on the street... Some guy was selling cheap knock off printed posters of the stock photo they used for all the nights. The photo of the band in front of an orangeish light with the silhouettes of them in black and the crowd in front of them, that image... buddy on the street was trying to get us to buy a commemorate poster for $5, figured why the hell not... we were drunk... but we didn't have change... All I had were $20 bills, so the guy... for some odd reason, hands us the poster *AND* he hands us like 2 or 3 dollars in bills.... I don't know why, and he tells me to hang tight while he goes and gets change, and he disappears, and we're just standing there.... and standing there... and standing there... and we don't know where he went, so my girlfriend says "let's just leave" and we look around and just bolt for it...

But buddy caught on and came out of nowhere after us, lol, he took my $20 and handed me a $10 bill and gave me another poster... so we got stuck with 2 posters and he ran off... lol... In hindsight, we should have just walked away. It was a cheap knock off poster, and it got crushed in our suitcase on the way back anyway haha.

That's my story for ya'll about bootleg merch.

I also bought a bootleg t-shirt at the Aftershock festival w/ the NIN logo on the front for $10. After 1 wash the NIN symbol was already all cracking apart.

Bootleg merch always seems like a great idea at the time, especially if you've had a few drinks but nothing good ever comes of it.

Hey... were you the guy me and my buddy were talking to (u were talking more to my buddy, he is a tall bearded dude who wanted to see The Perfect Drug) by the mixing board on Night 1 in Vegas? You wanted Happiness in Slavery, if I remember correctly. And we saw you again at the end of Night 2 on the way out, and were talking to out into the casino.

And as all above have stated... this was one of the best NIN shows I have ever seen. And I saw them a bunch on TDS and Further Down the Spiral Tour. I've lost count but it's between 15-20 shows at this point. But Vegas 2 transported me back in time... the only thing that was missing was my dumb ass in the pit... too old for that shit now.

I enjoyed night 1 as well, as that was the type of setlist I wanted to see... newer stuff. My 'wants' were Background World and AATCHB, but there is no way I'm gonna bitch about it. We, as NIN fans, are extremely lucky Trent is touring and still giving it his all, every night, with awesome set-lists. I just don't get some of the criticisms but hey... it's the social media world we live.

I mean, TPD, Burn, & Dead Souls in the same set... probably the only time that has ever happened or will ever happen again (although it wouldn't surprise me if one of the LA shows got that).

That sounds like it could have been me, but at the same time, I don't think it is. I was with my girlfriend for these shows. We met some dudes in line waiting to buy merch night 1, medium sized skinny guy wearing fishnets and a beard and his friend that we talked to. Then while we were waiting in the GA line we were chilling with probably the tallest dude at the whole show @halo33 (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=376) . Then we went straight to the rail once we got in. I did want TPD and Happiness both and was disappointed after night 1 and met up with all of the above mentioned after the show, but I think what gives it away that it wasn't me was all the dudes I talked to that night were in the pit rocking out and getting crazy.

Even the dude with the spinal surgery!! I think he's actually from this board come to think of it. After night 2. we met up with Kevin and Brandon and their friend from Virginia that missed the shows in DC due to a spinal surgery that he needed to have and was 8 week recovery. Whoever that dude was, we met him after night 2. That guy was hardcore. He was in the pit 8 weeks after his surgery rocking the fuck out. Kudos to that dude. (I seem to recall someone on this board writing about missing a show due to having a surgery, I swear that was him)

It feels like I secretly met a lot of people from ETS while not even knowing they were from ETS. like @halo33 (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=376) for instance. Had no idea he was from here, until he told someone in line what his instagram name was, and then I saw that name post here.

I did meet @heavenly_bearded (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=341) for a bit and got to sign his ETS shirt while waiting for merch. And of course, the always fabulous @zeegrizzle (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=3014) who we first met in London, UK of all places who was nutty enough to fly overseas this summer like we did.

NIN friends are awesome. Too bad we don't have any where we live. All you guys are the best. Vancouver is lame. Doesn't have cool people like ya'll.
Seriously, half the fun about going to a NIN show are the people you meet. And it only seems to be NIN shows that have that effect. I go to tons of shows, and the people are never as warm and welcoming as NIN fans.

Trent had the right idea all along with the physical pre-sales. Go out and meet people of similar interests. make some fucking friends. Get off social media.
I just wish I had an opportunity to do that, but there was no show in my city.

Vegas nt 2 was my 8th NIN show and one of my favorites for sure. Chatted with some folks who were nearby (3rd row in front of Robin) and NIN fans are the best. After mostly lurking these boards over the past 10 years perhaps I'll join in more, lol.

Then while we were waiting in the GA line we were chilling with probably the tallest dude at the whole show @halo33 (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=376)

Shit. Am I really that tall? Sorry!!
This is why it’s imperative that I get rail so I can lean over and not be in anyone’s way. [emoji14]

Great to have met you man! Vegas was a great great time overall and now I regret not doing all the other times he’s played there.

lol, I love @october_midnight (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=288) . We actually work at the same place. But we never hang out for some reason. What gives October?
He once made me buy a massive like 4-5 foot tall framed TOOL poster off of him. Now it just sits in my storage room because I have no room for it, lol.

I was rail/pit for Atticus side night 1 actually.
I was a couple rows back Robin side for night 2.

I didn't make you buy it, I knew you'd be interested lol. I had no room anywhere to hang it, it was just sitting in my storage. :P

And now it's sitting in my storage. :p

I tried putting it up on Craigslist. there were no takers.
The curse of the framed Tool poster, lol.

Eh, it got a few years of being hung up before I moved to my condo, so I got my money's worth.

You should link a pic of it (or in the Tool thread). :)

This is probably a longshot, but did anyone get a Vegas shirt from night 2 in like an XL that they'd be willing to part with? I decided to sacrifice merch for a spot closer to the stage haha. WORTH IT.

I've seen the band 20+ times and this was by the far the best and tightest they've ever sounded. That feat alone is super impressive to me.

Not sure how Last didn't sneak into this one, given all the early songs. I will say one song that was more blatantly missing, and didnt get played at all across the 2 days to my surprise, was Terrible Lie.I think I would have traded any song not named HIS or TPD from this set list to hear that song one more time. Which by the way, both of those songs sounded even better than I expected them too. Damn.

Overall this was a special night. There is a strong chance it goes down as my definitive NIN show when I look back in time a decade or more from now.

I love every aspect of how the band is assembled right now. I sincerely hope they don't change it and I get at least one more shot to see this group live in 2019 or beyond. Regretting not going out to LA for at least a few more nights of this.
