Just wanted to see what people were thinking we might get for the 2011 nin.com Christmas present? The past few years have been live videos posted on YouTube/Vimeo, but the Closure DVD was a Christmas present too. Maybe there won't be one, but I'm guessing we'll get something. Hopefully Rob's been hard at work on getting the Wave Goodbye shows edited?

I'd think if anything, it's another video from the Wave Goodbye shows.

I wish for a lengthy post from TR (I just love reading those, even if the subject is not of particular interest to me) and a cool announcement whether it be HDA, the Fragile or something regarding the Wave Goodbye shows or something completely different.

Strobe Light's gonna take some time. it's gonna require that carpetbomb-style marketing and promotion he talked about in the Hollywood Reporter interview.

Of course you guys would, you're NIN fans. We'd buy anything from Trent if it had a "limited $300 edition".

I would like him to write a binding verbal contract with his fans that he will never tease us with deadlines again, but only announce things two weeks before he releases them. :D

That just wouldn't be Trent though. Perhaps none of us would like his music without the pain of waiting?

It's quite possible we won't get anything this year, although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hoping for something. The new soundtrack is really a pretty great gift as is.

The pain of waiting is standard for me - nearly all my favorite bands tend to take three years between albums, which is perfectly reasonable when you factor in touring and life/family stuff. It's his tendency to project time frames and then not deliver that makes me sad. He's so withdrawn from the public that any small update from him is really exciting - and then nothing comes of it. I'd just like it better if he teased us a bit with vague hints and then dropped everything on us at once. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS: MY LIFE IS TRAGIC.

I hadn't considered we'd get anything. Has there been hints at something, or just since we have for the last few years?

I was merely speculating since we have in years past (400 GB of LITS footage, 2009 tour videos, Closure...). Of course it might not be anything this year, but who knows.

Some of those filmed-onstage Wave Goodbye videos from Rob would be nice. Pretty sure they still have quite a few unreleased.

Not to turn this into the Trent And Mariqueen Family Hour, but today she tweeted "i want corned beef with white rice and ketchup. and eggs, over easy. #pregnant (http://twitter.com/#%21/search?q=%23pregnant)", so I'm guessing the little one hasn't been born yet. Probably why Trent hasn't bestowed another gift upon us...he's still waiting on his!

Reminds me of the family guy episode where Peter yells at Bonnie, "Haven't you been pregnant for like 6 years now?!?!" LOL! Actually, this is the first I hear of a second one on the way. Good for him! Successful singer, songwriter, producer, married to a Playmate-of-the-Month, singer, model, and plants 2 seeds in her! Good for him!! Go Trent! *high 5*
