Glad the second London show is on the Sunday. Going to mbv on the Saturday. Can actually sort travel&accommodation now, for those few days at least!

Do you think this means no more U.K. dates this time? Surely this would have been the time to announce them.

Or London in my case LOL...
Only in London from June 21-24...

So much for leaving London on Sunday to head to Paris now. Guess I'm staying an extra night. There goes my rail spot in Paris, lol.
But 3 NIN shows in 5 days?? I CAN'T say no to that!

It's going to be a bun fight for tickets again. I'm glad it's a Sunday too as I'm seeing Depeche Mode on the Isle of Wight on the Saturday!

Well, looks like this one has a capacity of 5,272 seats. So it won't be quite as a gongshow as the one at the Royal Festival Hall was.
Is this one going to have a General Admission/standing area at the front though? Looks like seats at the front, but a few rows can always be removed.

If I'm silly enough to be traveling over 7,000 KM's from Canada for this, then I think we just answered your question... Let's all get crazy silly!!! Woooooooooooo
(God. What am I doing with my life, lol)

It would be nice if people going to Meltdown, didn’t feel they needed/wanted to go to the Albert Hall. I feel like TR has seen the demand and thought “I’ll put an additional show on for the fans”. I missed out on Meltdown due to the chaos!! Obviously no one is obliged to do this. Just would be nice you know.

Edit- looking at the two venues, I’m wondering if we will see a Still/acoustic/strings set-up and a similar style for the third E.P!!!

I'd like to know. Honestly I'd like to be dissuaded from getting a ticket because I'd rather be in Paris but they've chosen to play two venues I've been dying to see (RAH and Olympia) on consecutive days. I've been daydreaming about the perfect sejour in Paris at the end of June for however long this torture of tedious date releases have been going on. *dramatic*.

I will stop whining like a sour little princess eventually.

Tickets are £35-£75, I think.

Wish they'd announced this in tandem with Meltdown, as I'd probably have picked the RAH...

Having paid for Southbank membership and a train for a 300 mile trip, I can't write that off and I can't do both, either.

I'm a spoilt little child, I know, but I'm a little gutted and deflated.

I'd be surprised if they are cheap. I saw Tori there last year and it was £££

I saw that. Thank god was my reply.
12pm GMT was 5am Vancouver time! There was no way in hell I was gonna be able to stay up that late (or wake up that early) for that. I had a feeling of relief come off my shoulders once I saw the pre-sale e-mail 3 hrs earlier.

The temptation is strong, Cant book anymore time off work now though without making the rest of the year a long old drag.
I dont use many sick days, so there's that option, booking a hotel for the meltdown gig, and i'm already in Manchester the week before, so many hotels, if I could find someone who does not mind a giant welshman sleeping on their sofa, it becomes more possible hah

witte
03-15-2018, 03:30 PM
Because I'm in London Friday, I cannot refuse this gig.
Only, I need to take on monday the Eurostar to get in Paris as quick as possible. My two friends and my son will be in Paris too by the way, traveling with the car (from the Netherlands).

Basically all the seats in the “arena” bit can come out.

Not to mention other hometown gigs in June - PIL, Sheryl Crow, Roisin Murphy....Wife is going mental. Got so scared, I sold my Foo Fighters ticket for Manchester Etihad...lol.

Same to me (living in the netherlands):
- begin june Dublin Nick Cave with Patti Smith
- when we come back, we do a dutch festival Best Kept Secret (3 days)
- then NIN London, Paris, Amsterdam
- then Festival in june Down The Rabbit Hole (3 days)
- right after that festival Berlin (NIN)
- week later holidays in Madrid inclusive Mad Cool festival.

I think I'm dead after that. On the other side: now it's possible, do it, maybe in a few year not anymore...

ChipRock
03-16-2018, 03:46 AM
I can't afford to do this show on top of Meltdown unfortunately, but I'm glad they did pull through with the extra date. I'll save a space for someone who missed out on the Friday show!
Royal Albert Hall is another ace venue. I saw The Cure there a couple of years back and yes, the whole 'arena' floor area was standing. Don't think it was cheap though, so if you're budgeting you can get something up top (like I did) and it's still not a bad view. I'm guessing it's probably better than being in the cheap seats for the O2 or Wembley.
Hopefully it will prove a bit better for everyone trying to get tickets anyway. Good luck.

Sounds good! I think i got one (!) though the pre-sale. it says 'stalls', but it has a Section / Row / Seat. But i assume that's standing? Let's keep in touch, i can still go and queue up :) and if your (potential spare) ticket is 'better', then i can sell mine on.

Phew! :) i'm stoked

Crappy seats....

Anyone think more floor tickets will be available for the GA sale later on?? I need to go to bed....

Well, if anyone that has 2 standing tickets and wants to trade for seats please keep me in mind. I will be forever grateful.

I have Stalls L, Row 1, Seats 63 and 64 for trade.

You have a front row seat with an almost head-on view on the stage. I know you'd have preferred standing, but I don't understand why you're complaining about "crappy seats".

It looks like you just need to keep clicking on "my account" until it decides it wants to start the queue (which is bullshit). Perhaps have two tabs open, one refreshing the event page, one clicking the account page?

While panicking, I just clicked on the most expensive seat category and scored two tickets (Grand Tier 17, Seats 7,8 - one is up for sale or ideally a swap for a Meltdown ticket if anyone is interested!) and now I wonder whether I should try again for standing tickets instead... what a mess this has been! Update: IMPOSSIBLE!! Thank fuck I at least got some tickets .. anyone else not even in that goddamn queue??!

Happy to have gotten through on presale. Second Tier box in the 70's seats 1&2 ( front 2 seats). Very happy. My +1 is very short and needs to have no one in front blocking their view, this is perfect.

RFH- balcony row F
RAH- second tier
L'Olympia- row 3 mezzanine

Should be a fun summer Euro-trip.

Now we need to see what's happening on the same Sunday at RFH for Meltdown festival. A Cure retrospective would be very enticing. Might be a Sophie's choice . Hoping the secod show on Saturday at Meltdown will be another concert to see. Bummed Billy Idol sold out on Saturday.

Good luck everyone trying on the general on sale.

Fabulous. I just got 2 standing!
The way I did it is this: I installed an auto refresh button on my browser set to refresh every 30 seconds on the event page. By doing this I was kept at the front of the queue. Bang on 12pm I got right into the list, selected standing and bingo! I am a very happy Brit right now.

Well I did get two standing for this. Wanted stalls - as I'm old and short. Now I need to determine whether my schedule will actually permit me to travel to London at that time. Once I figure that out, will be open to swapping with someone who prefers standing but has good seats. While I've been to London just to see NIN before, I'm partially tempted to attend this show because I didn't hear about Webster last year in time to snag tickets as the email lists were refreshed without my knowledge. But if you are interested in swapping seats for stalls, PM me and we can tentatively plan to do so.

Those are still good seats, you don't HAVE to stand

Yes, I agree. These are great seats, for someone that WANTS seats. I hate seats at rock shows, regardless of whether they are front row or nosebleeds, I need to be on the floor in the thrill of it all against the barrier, ESPECIALLY for Nine Inch nails. I can't stand seats. So when I say "crappy seats" I don't necessarily mean these ones are crappy, just "crappy seats" in general.

Plan was to check out of the hotel on the 24th and train down to Paris that night, get a good night sleep and queue up for the Paris show SUPER early to get rail. Now that this show was announced, that's not feasible. By the time we check out of London and get to Paris, find and check into the new hotel and get to the venue, the line at the L'Olympia will be a mile long.

Haha, I already booked those and got a stellar deal. Been monitoring flights since January and they were the lowest they were were on Wednesday, so pulled the trigger that night. Normally I don't select my seats either. I let the airline assign them to me at check-in so I can save money by not pre-buying seats, but looking at the seat setup and how full it was, we decided to pre-book our seats this time. For the international flights anyway. I'm doing 2 stop overs in Canadian city's on the way to break up the flights.
Vancouver ----> Montreal. Spend a night there at my girlfriends sisters place. Then direct flight from Montreal ----> London. Train ride from London to Paris. Then leave on the 28th from Paris ---> Winnipeg (Where I am originally from.) Stop over, see old friends and family and then back to Vancouver. I can't actually do a plane ride more than 7 hrs in a row either, so that's another reason why we chose to break it up this way.

I've bought a standing from someone who I think is bonafide - at least he's sent me the email conversation that he had with the RAH about transferring the ticket to me and also sent me the original confirmation email - he only bought 1 ticket and is selling as he's going to the Robert Smith show...so that also gives me some confidence that he's not a scammer. Hi all. Going to struggle to make RFH gig on Friday so wondering if anyone is in a similar situation for RAH on Sunday and fancies a swap. I have 2 tickets in row FF of rear stalls, so decent seats in the front 1/3. As such, I'd prefer to do a swap for standing or stall tickets, not up in the Gods. I work 2 mins from RFH so can meet on Southbank during the week to swap tickets. This is my first post here so if you look on the FB event pages, you'll see my similarly-worded posts in case you want to ensure I'm not (too) dodgy. *Might* also have spares for MBV on the Saturday if anyone really wants their eardrums perforated.

Missed tonight because there are more people here and all the posters were gone very early after doors opened!

bummer. But I’m sure the show will make up for it!! :)
