Anyone been to this? Anyone know when/if Friday only tix will be on sale? Cuz for now it looks like the only single day tix you can buy are for Sunday (not NIN's day).

That lineup is total garbage on NIN's day. If we go we're rolling up at 10:30 or so and skipping all that other nonsense.

as someone from Switzerland, keep in mind that Switzerland is one of the most expensive countries in the world. If you're travelling from a EU country, you can easily find some cheap EasyJet flight to Zurich/Basel/Geneva.

However, be warned that everything else is probably going to be more expensive than what you're used to (food, accommodation, train tickets within Switzerland, and even Burger King - just ask @Scarlet Siren (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=2217) ...).

I strongly suggest you to check the price of your train ticket on www.sbb.ch (http://www.sbb.ch). Up to 30 days in advance you can
- find a daily Swiss trains pass (any destination) for as little as 29CHF (https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/1-day-travelpass/saver-day-pass.html)
- find a supersaver train ticket (they'll tell you the route that you have to follow, but it's cheaper than the regular ticket). (https://www.sbb.ch/en/travelcards-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/supersaver-tickets.html)

For transportation you can also look on blablacar or other ride sharing apps.

I've personally never been to St Gallen openair but I have several friends who go there every year.

and even Burger King

What do they call the Whopper?...

(heh)

Sounds like NYC. Cheap flights- get fucked in every other area.

Swiss here also. Saw NIN there in 2009 on the Wave Goodbye tour. It was a mudfest.

Open Air St. Gallen is one of the most traditional Open Airs in Switzerland that really carries the "festival spirit". Still wished for them to play a different festival here, though. Mainly because of the logistics getting there, if you only go for one day.
