I am satisfied as I got what I wanted before they stopped. Reptile and The Lovers. :-D Trent was on fire on stage the whole time. Famous parting words: I'm being told we have to get off the stage. Hold on while we find out what the fuck is going on. "

The rain was pouring far into the stage, even on Atticus' equipment.

I met iamclassic as we both left!!!

Both my posters survived too. Sadly I did not get to see any arty bits but really enjoyed all the musical acts preceding NIN.

I can't wait for next year!

It was fantastic. I think the rain enhanced it, but it would have been amazing regardless. Bummed about the short set, but glad to have got what we had.

Yes. This is my third time seeing NIN, first seeing Reptile live...I knew it was going to be fucking good. The rain made it something else entirely. I took a few videos of what I could but I would love to see some videos of Reptile from tonight.

Me too... it got really bad for a while. The way back was swampy. But that was only 10 minutes or so after. I don't know if they had the resources(?) to cover the equipment though because it looked like the festival staff were struggling

It was bad, but Trent didn’t seem to mind. That’s why I was frustrated. If you’re going to advertise rain/shine I don’t get why you’d cancel for rain. We all know Trent’s played in worse.

Judging by how amped he was, it was clear it was giving him some young energy. Super disappointed they kicked him off.

It got brutal when they even got off stage. I just think that they didnt want to keep us out there longer than needed. I mean, if they were able to start 15 mins sooner, we mightve made it to the encore and i wonder if trent wouldnt have cared and kept going. Shoes soaked to the bone and now they have to dry by tomorrow to get theough the last day.

What a show! I took a few photos from dead center, one person back from the rail, and as requested (by some random guy) I will post some here in a couple of days when I'm back home. Some of my shots will also appear in a week or two at Igloo Magazine.

There was some crowd energy around me ...But the rain really affected the crowd. One, there were these things in the middle of the concrete covered with carpet floor (i'm not sure what they are called) that were slippery. And the rain was in our face (and eyes) the whole time.

NIN was the heaviest most aggressive name on the bill of that says anything, I think that along with the artsy vibe and expensive ticket kept the rowdies at bay. It was the easiest I’ve ever gotten to the front during the opener, lots of James Blake softies. Front had a good amount of energy rain was awesome.

Wow. That really stings seeing that. 3 fucking encore songs? And fucking awesome songs at that. What a letdown. Thrilled that I got to see what I saw. But it was like having a carrot dangled in front of me, then taking a bite, then it being yanked away without warning. Sucks.

I was literally sore from being battered by the crowd. Also got a boot to the head by some crowd surfer. If that's "meh" to you, then you're insane. lol

Houston is up for download on the archive. I've never been so cold after a show and absolutely drenched. I was worried about my poster and gear.

http://ninlive.com/shows/2017/20171216.html

This is the last show of 2017. Next year NIN will be on tour and I hope that it will bring more tapes to the archive. Again, if you have any tapes that are not on the archive. You can always contact me and you can either upload them to the server, or send the tapes to me and I will properly transfer them!

More coming… Soon.

Reptile and The Background World in a complete downpour is definitely the best NIN live moment I’ve ever had. And the sheer energy he had was unreal.

Also, why did Reptile sound SO METAL? It was incredible.

Yup. It’s just that i’ve heard Reptile four times now, and this one was the heaviest by a damn mile.

You're onto something; can't say exactly why but Reptile was definitely tighter and heavier than usual. They did spend some of the previous day's soundcheck on it, and the band rented another venue for a rehearsal the day before that. Much respect to Trent for working so hard to deliver performances like this.

I still have photos from front and center to post soon.

This was a great show (until NIN got booted and I had to walk 8 or 9 blocks in the rain to my vehicle.) I hadn't seen them since the "With Teeth" club tour in 2005 at Stubbs in Austin. I just wish we could have heard the next two songs, the great destroyer and burning bright (field on fire). Survivalism would have been cool as well as I've not heard anything post "With Teeth" live, but I really would have been pissed if "Somewhat Damaged" would have been on the setlist as it had been on some of the earlier shows this year in that first encore spot. I'm happy to have witnessed that performance considering the atmosphere (that was my third time hearing Reptile and yes, as others have stated it was fucking great in the rain) but I must admit it left me wanting more and feeling a little unfulfilled overall.

I hope they do some non festival dates in the US next year. I will definitely consider traveling to see a full show. I just hope GD and BBFOF are still part of the setlist if And when they do tour again. And of course the show will hopefully be INDOORS. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171230/452a9ac085b08fb5708f237f13be1d4b.jpg

He was in the crowd, I don't recall the lens being obnoxiously large and security there was adequate but pretty lenient when it came to camera or cold/rain survival stuff.
