Just found out that a dear friend to many of us in the NIN community has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. A GoFundMe page has been set up to send her to FYF Fest to see NIN one last time. Please donate what you can:

So, uh, I feel weird for saying this but if anyone is looking for a roommate for FYF (to help make it more economically friendly), let me know! I'm looking at flying in on Friday and staying until Monday morning.

Anyone register their wristband yet? I don't see the registration page on the FYF website anywhere.

interesting that they have single day tix onsale again Fri/Sat

Iggy Pop at 7:20, RTJ at 9:35, NIN at 10:45.

I wonder how long RTJ's set is - Glack has a 9:10 slot but someone coming on after at 10:30, so no longer than an hour for Glack. Nobody coming onto the Lawn stage after RTJ.

wow that's far superior to what I was looking at.

It's not bad form to get to FYF at 7pm right?

I would tell you to get there earlier than 7, since you dont know how entry will be at that point, and you have to figure your surroundings out. Dont think you want to come back here and complain about how it took you forever to get in and then find stages, yes?

Single day tix went back onsale a few weeks ago, but it was never an issue for Sunday, because Saturday and Friday were more in demand.

at least they put the lawn and main stage next to each other. That said, there's housing right across the street from the main stage and NIN is playing until after midnight on a Sunday. Hope that isn't bad omen, but I assume they did this last year too right?

I wasn't planning on going to FYF because I'm not a festival person, but have been thinking about buying a ticket same day if things work out. I'm thankful Bakersfield came up and I have tickets to that... But of course the urge to go to as many shows as possible kicked in as soon as I got my ticket.

On a related note, I will be driving for LYFT the weekend of the festival, and if anyone needs a first time LYFT code for money towards your first ride, use my code: NINLYFT --- you go into payment info and enter it and bam! You get $5 towards your first ride. Also, I really hope I pick up some NIN fans so we can blast music in the car.

Theyre mentioning it, but that does not mean theyll be shown. All they pointed out is that anyone performing from the early portions of the schedule arent going to be shown, which would point to the likelihood of the higher bill acts being broadcast. Wait for that schedule to be posted cause you never know. Consider this, theyre not even doing this for all of Friday, which either means not enough acts agreed to be on it, or the big acts said no, so its moot.

You know the 2 other days go later, right? And its not a problem, most of that is student housing anyway. theyll be on the rooftops and balconies watching or listening if they can. And the set up is pretty much the same as the year before, all thats different is the addition of the Outer Space stage.

Cool...1:45 AM EST for me.

Again, not confirmed. And FYF's twitter account just responded to NINHotline about it too. ''We do not have a full confirmed list of performances yet.'' Just wait for them to post a list, then get excited if theyre on it. Its never automatic, shouldnt we know this by now?

Does anyone by chance have a place/hotel I can crash at (I can split cost/pay as long as it's reasonable) on Friday and/or Saturday? I just got an email saying the hotel room I had a reservation for on those days has overbooked. I'm traveling on a budget and I don't drive, would just be taking the bus/train, so my options are limited. :( Thanks in advance if anyone can help, or can point me in the direction of someone who can!

OK. Thanks. I was just going by what the article said:

The festival starts at 2 p.m. those days, so livestream audiences will miss some acts.

But they’ll be able to catch the bigger names like MGMT, A Tribe Called Quest and headliner Frank Ocean Saturday and Iggy Pop, Solange, Run The Jewels and headliner Nine Inch Nails on Sunday.

Probably shouldn't have said that then.

You should look into hotels or Airbnb near the Expo line.

Thats why I said, they mention bands, but the writer has no idea, theyre just assuming NIN would have to be part of the programming if the festival was willing to cut out a third of the days acts and only give viewers the latter part of a day.

At this point, I think the streaming schedule goes up tomorrow sometime, hopefully they dont wait til Saturday.

edit: Main stage pretty much ready to go. Do not expect the LED screen in the middle on Sunday, but with Trent not liking how things were last night, it wouldnt surprised me if he changed his mind and it gonna use one.

Just put on my wristband! Let's see what kind of shape it's in 2.5 days from now. :)

EDIT: Word to the wise: if you plan on activating your wristband, do it before you put it on! Don't be a dumb-dumb like me and have to fiddle awkwardly with it after the fact in order to see the 6 digit code.

Day one down. After PIG last Friday, NIN on Wednesday, and half a dozen sets tonight, my feet are almost certainly plotting a mutiny.

For all of you going Sunday only, let me know if you have any questions about the festival!

So if everyone is streamed I can watch solange, run the jewels and then nine inch nails, all live?? Pretty sweet.

I wouldn't count on the everyone streamed after tonight's "live" stream. Bands were played for one or two songs from different points in the day out of order with interview clips and random FYF videos in between. Definitely not expecting full sets tomorrow and likely only one or two songs if any from each band possibly out of order.

The "live" feed seems to be a more of a shit show and less of a live feed from a festival. Supposedly, Frank Ocean is on stage but the feed has some other band playing in the afternoon sun. An advert for Toyota played in the middle of a song.

I don't have high expectations for anything cool coming from this feed (not to mention how unreliable the actual stream is playing).

Hate to burst your bubble, but I expect it'll be identical to Bakersfield minus a few songs due to time constraints.
