Solo/side project of Behemoth's frontman Nergal. Yes the metal band. This is like a mashup of Johnny Cash and Nick Cave. Color me impressed and surprised. This was released today:

and I love it. Acoustic fans might enjoy this. Give it a try. If not just listen to Behemoth's Evangelion or The Satanist instead.

No one gives a shit evidently but a new single "Cross My Heart and Hope To Die" and its video hits March 10th. Can't wait. I pre-ordered the deluxe version of the album as well. It drops the 24th.
Maybe it went under your radar? Conan The Barbarian bobbie solo

I give a shit since I'm a huge behemoth fan. I dig the single and I am awaiting the release of the album.
And no it didn't fly under my radar, just didn't think anyone here gave a shit lol. I keep forgetting you're into metal.
Since we are talking about behemoth side projects. Infernos other band azarath is coming out with another album this year.

Well, listened to this one my car ride to work. I liked it. The album is pretty much what you expect, Nergal and friends sing the blues.

Mhm! I like the entire tone of the album. I felt strongly from the singles I heard prior so I preordered the deluxe version of the album with bonus tracks (which I got yesterday) and a limited edition gold vinyl version of the album from their official store. Pictures to follow!
What songs were your favorite?

I have yet to go my second time around, so I can't really pick one. The closer was strong, loved the chorus.

I love it. I hope he does another album with Porter. This is too good to be a one off.

wait, what? WHY!? i LOVE this kind of music when it's well-executed! which means i LOVE this album!!!
listened to it today while driving and then working (my dad liked it, too). i love that they trade off vocals and back each other up. the emotional through-line of the album is so great. i really want to get this on vinyl.

I scored in preordering the Limited Edition gold vinyl on their official store. I'm waiting for it to get to me. Was like 34.00 or 35.00 USD after conversion rate. Shipping included. (https://meandthatman.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=30954)

Better the Devil I Know is also my favorite. That and my Church is Black.
Well, least this thread proved useful for someone. :B
I remembered you liked the video for Behemoth's Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel that I posted a bit ago in the listening thread. This project might be the gateway to have you try Behemoth haha.

This album rules. I've only given Behemoth cursory attention, but this might change that.
I hope they go on tour in the states. This exactly the type of music that would translate well to a live setting, especially with booze.

Behemoth should be as big as Meshuggah, or even bigger. It's criminal that they're not.

Behemoth is one of the best and one of my favorite "extreme" metal bands.
