So... here's a weird one.

I got a text this week from my friend who works at Digital Domain asking if I wanted a machine from the Happiness In Slavery video. I believe my exact response was, "um, yes." I picked it up last night, and it's a cool, weird piece, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but here's the thing: I can't actually find any pieces of the machine that match up with shots from the video

Everyone who works there is sure it's from a Nine Inch Nails video, but I don't know if anyone there was actually involved with it, so there's no one to give a definitive answer on its history.

This is where you come in! I'm hoping one of you observant fans can help me figure out if this actually is from the Happiness In Slavery video or another NIN video or another video altogether (Manson, Tool, etc.). I can post close ups of specific sections as requested, but here are some wide shots to start. Help me figure this shit out!

Could it have come from the Closer video? I can't recall seeing anything in Happiness in Slavery that looked like that

The close ups of gears in the HIS video look very similar to parts of this thing, but I just couldn't match anything up. I did also look through Closer a couple times, but there's very little machinery other than the pig head spinner.

Yeah, that's what we initially thought, but there are some key elements I can't fin on the piece. Specifically, the numbers/letters at the top left here and trapezoid/ovoid shape near the middle are nowhere to be found (you can see these more clearly in the Broken movie right before HIS starts):
