Wondering who else on hear enjoys this band? i found them while watching conan earlier this year and every since they have reached the top five of my all time favorite bands. even reaching number 3 on my lastfm account. i saw them live in st louis a couple months ago, and without a doubt that was in my top 5 concert experiences even though it was under a 100 in attendance. you can find a few videos from the show under my youtube account(ninedead) which are about as good as its going to get without being there. but if you have yet to listen to 'the big roar' you are definitely missing out.

Amazing band. The Big Roar is my favorite album of the year. I'd say that I probably haven't gone a week without listening to it at least once since March. I had the opportunity to see them at some hole in the wall club the size of my living room, here in KC back in April, and it was mind-blowing.

Here's a video that I shot of them playing Whirring that I shot at this show:

Definitely my new favorite band at the moment. They can fucking rock! Something that is lacking these days with rock bands.

Just got my tickets in the mail for Joy Formidable, A Place to Bury Strangers and Big Black Delta at the music box in Hollywood. This show is certainly going to be EPIC. The show to end all shows.

Yeah, these guys just rock the fuck out, that's why I love them. They played an early slot at Coachella last year and my buddy wanted to see them and I went along not expected nothing and they impressed me. Their drummer is awesome and they closed out with a 10 minute version of "Whirring" and it was a highlight of the weekend. Saw them later that year in Austin at another festival and blew me away again. Glad to see they're getting a lot of good run lately, certainly deserving of it.

Yeah, I enjoy this band. The Big Roar is an excellent album. Anything shoegaze sounding I love anyways.

New album Wolf's Law is currently all over the internet. Thoughts? I'm quite enjoying it. There's only a couple of songs that aren't completely grabbing me. The guitar solo on Maw Maw Song is ridiculously awesome and sounds like it'll be a blast in a live setting.

New album was pretty enjoyable. Their production values remind me of early Smashing Pumpkins - very dense and arena-ready atmosphere. My only problem with the band is that their songs never stick with me for very long. I never find myself humming a melody or remembering a chorus. Guitars, drums, vocals: it's all good, but the end-result is never catchy enough for me to give their music a lot of attention.

Still, they're a solid rock band that deserves attention.

I do like the second album though I feel it's not as immediate or as catchy as the first one. Maybe with more listens, it will grow on me.

After hearing this band the first time last summer, I quickly fell in love with Whirring. As Presideo said, however, not enough to find myself humming the tune/whistling/etc. I then found myself jamming out to The Big Roar about all weekend, and I am a big fan now. Really good stuff, and I'd love to see them live:

They are GREAT live, I've seen them twice. Tickets should be cheap too.

They're playing KC's own version of SXSW in April and will be sharing the stage with Grizzly Bear. It's going to crazy good.

Love this band, saw them last week and they were fantastic. The Big Roar was on regular rotation when it first came out and my favorite song on the album and live is Buoy. The few times I've seen them it's been in small venues with inexpensive tickets. Heavenly.

New album out in September. Thinking about buying the box set, so much included for the price. Bought tickets for the show in Chicago in November!

New/revamped release of their first EP came out yesterday. Seeing them live again in December in a small venue (as usual). Bought VIP tickets, which were only $30 more than regular admission, for a pre-show acoustic performance and signed release. This band is so incredible live and they truly act like they enjoy each other’s company and playing live.

I love TJF and this is the best sounding material they've done since TBR in my opinion. Is this going to all wind up on an album? Still been digging the first single they released a while back, Cut Your Face

So, about the new singles (3 as of today), is it part of a new album? Compilation?

That fifteen minute song is ridiculous and I love it so much. Whirring Part 2, basically.
