Sex, drugs & Rock N' Roll!
I absolutely loved the 2-hour Scorsese directed pilot.
This should be a pretty fun series to follow.

Mark Romanek is directing episode 3.

I liked the pilot, looking forward to the next episode.

It's weird that the fictional band 'Nasty Bits' exist in 1973, their sound is a few years too early, but I can overlook that.

I really liked this show and I have been losing interest in The Walking Dead. I still eat TWD but i just don't care anymore. Vinyl so far has been great.

Vinyl is great. Can't wait for tonight's show!
The Walking Dead lost me and my girl's attention in the middle of season 3. Haven't been back since.

Looks like its just you and me dude until the rest of them catch on. They have had actors portray Alice Cooper, Robert Plant, and Lou Reed I'm sure that they had to get consent to use their likenesses. Do you think the character of Hannibal is a composite of Sly Stone without the consent?

I was actually wondering that myself. I wonder if Sly wouldn't let them use his name perhaps due to issues with things the character does in the show.

I see they weren't afraid to re-insert the World Trade Center buildings in last night's episode. I know folks get touchy about that sorta thing.

I'm sticking with it as it is becoming more focused. The first couple of episodes were all over the place.

This is getting better with each episode.

Loved the scenes with Lester in the latest ep.

I had to rewind in episode 6 back to the moment when Olivia Wilde's character heard one name, to watch again now understanding what was so shocking about it. Nice.

Seems like a really great show, but I'm not sure I can handle "entertainment" this oppressively bleak right now. It's so fucking depressing.

Apparently Terrence Winter (co-creator/showrunner/producer) won't be involved with the second season, which is a big blow for the future of the show considering how well he steered Boardwalk Empire (not to mention his heavy involvement with The Sopranos.)

I can easily see this getting cancelled after the second season; it would be a shame considering the talent involved, but with a large budget and so-so writing there's only so much leeway HBO execs give before they pull the plug (Deadwood, Luck)

Luck's problem was when a bunch of horses died.
But yes, Deadwood and my favorite show ever Carnivale had large budgets.

Watched three episodes so far and I liked it a lot. I hope the show doesn't get canned!

I'm on the verge on quitting this show. First episode was great, then it just went all over the place and I feel like it never really recovered.
I'm having a hard time getting through each episode. I still haven't dropped the towel yet but I'm getting there.

I agree. Pilot was good but it went downhill from there.

I haven't seen any more than the trailer of it, but gathering from the reviews this sounds like something that would give me (being the absolute geek of 70's rock trivia that I am) hives.

@eversonpoe (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=588) If you have haven't yet watched this, you really need to watch this..

i've talked to a few friends about it and i got the impression that, despite its subject matter, it's not that great, and i wouldn't like it that much. : /
