Oh yeah, it would definitely be reasonable. Sarah and I were talking about the Reddit Secret Santa exchange and she had the brilliant idea of an ETS one. The Reddit exchange works off a $20 gift, and I think that is probably a better gift budget (of course you can spend more or less depending on your circumstances) but it's always the thought that counts with these kinda things.

Ive been part of past ETS exchanges, they usually go pretty well so I'm in! one thing to consider is international shipping, should it be broken up regionally to keep shipping hassles down?

We did ETS mixtape exchanges for a while and they generally worked out very well. It takes some work to match, track, and chase without the tool Levi suggests.

I pretty much always have to do international shipping when it comes to online exchanges - I generally just buy stuff online (free or cheap international shipping) and ask them to mark it as a gift so that there's no receipts, etc.

Edit: I just made one. I'm unsure how to deal with the shipping to other countries deal. There aren't enough people in other countries to set up specific ones. :/ I think it might just be a "deal with it" thing. Or, if shipping internationally would actually be a burden, let me know once we do the draw, and I can try to swap people, etc. Unless someone else can think of something that will work better!

When I do this on another board, it's up to each person.

Some people give nice gifts. Some people give jokey gifts. Some people make handmade stuff. Some people have throw in random funny stuff from their house. I really think it's a case of "the thought that counts". I mean, with a low dollar limit, the need to be creative kicks in.

Also, I found an option that can exclude a person from "drawing" another one. So, if anyone believes that international shipping would be a big deal, and it would cause you to not participate, just let me know.

So I was told by @Sarah K (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=3236)laus that it was delivered and signed for at 3:30 on wednesday.
One of 2 things happened, my apartment has 2 buildings side by side....left side is apartments 237 a, b and c and the right side is 238 a, b and c. I'm guessing we have a new mail person that's either stupid or didn't pay attention and gave it to the wrong apartment or it was delivered to the leasing office. I'm going to leave a note on the persons door who I think signed for it and let them know whats up and call the office tomorrow as well.
