I've actually been itching to make this thread for quite some time. I guess it can go either way, without that much to add since there's only one album to discuss. What's Up just unexpectedly grew on me more than I thought it would, and I just love Superfly. It just got stuck in my mind as of now.

I've figured that I'd at least post the rest of their music videos while it's still only at one page, which isn't much since it's all from one album anyway. I'd be surprised if it goes on longer than I expect it to though. As for the actual site, I thought it was a good read describing the band's short lifespan in depth. And as for some of my favorite songs from the album that aren't also music videos, I'd say that as of now they'd have to be Train, Pleasantly Blue, Old Mr. Heffer, Calling All The People and No Place Like Home.

^oh man, that Zepellin cover ...i used to skip that track from my "Economium" album all the time...

Mmmmmmh... i guess it's hardly constructive to say: "i don't like them"; but really: I don't...
The band was (bad) a joke from the 90's and even though i'll admit the value of "What's up" as a "harmless hit" for classic radio, i couldn't get into this band ever.
Mostly, it has to do with Linda Perry's antics and his "Janis Joplin-esque" image: she's a huge sellout but speaks about: "Revolution"?, it always conflicted me...

I guess they where "ok" if you where 10 and lived in the 90's ...but there's no replay value to any of their songs, still i thought just like the "Counting Crows", "Matchbox 20", "Hootie and the Blowfish" and other (boring) corporate rock bands that they kept on going and even had some more albums... so they have only one? damn go figure...
For me the fact that they are a "one hit wonder" band and they didn't even try to keep going cements the mediocrity of this band, obviously Linda Perry realized she was the talented one and left his gimmick band to become Pink's head composer (I also can't stand Pink), but for me it just show the true nature of the group: Corporate soft rock (nothing wrong with listening to it, i really like "Live").

I hate that song. Dean Ween is right about them. Oy.... if you think that is bad. You should the ranchero version of that song. Ay dios mio. It was awful. I saw it on TV on Sabado Gigante because my mother watches that show. She hates ranchero music and oh, she was in absolute disgust over that song and I said, "wait a minute, I know that song... oh shit". It is horrible. Oh, and I also hate that cover of "Misty Mountain Hop" they did. It's atrocious.
