It looks like the same one from the Europe tour, which means there's nothing on the back. Actually, most of those designs are the same as the EU tour - the only difference I can see is that the sea/logo one was girls-fit only on that tour and there seems to be a unisex version now available.

I'm pretty sure Soundgarden does specific city poster. They usually do. NIN has been doing the generic all city poster for the last couple of tours.
Anyone happen to have pictures of Soundgarden's merch or see a poster or posters? I want a NIN and Soundgarden poster.

Yeah I'm hoping for both as well. It's been awhile since I've seen soundgarden live and I didn't get a poster last time. They do have some decent designs though.

As as far as NINs posters, last tour they had the poster with the dates and then another blue poster that was all similar to their album artwork for the vinyl at their Toronto show and then a red poster for their Detroit show similar to one of their variant cover artworks. I ended up with three different posters from that tour. I wonder if it's similar for this tour?

Regarding shirt #7, in case anyone is interested: that phrase "Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt" is a line from Slaughterhouse Five.

So, obviously, we can confirm that: Year Zero 2 is coming (along with the mini-series) and that the Presence is an alien. Probably one from Slaughterhouse Five.

You're welcome.

Neither seems to be the 3-D design. I'm guessing it was a Europe-only shirt to go with the 3-D design logo they had on the screen on that tour.

The difference seems to be that #4 has "design on back", likely tour dates. Wish they showed what the design of the tour dates was.

All in all, this set of shirts is even more disappointing than last year. I say that as someone who collects NIN shirts. There was SO MUCH OPPORTUNITY coming from Mills' new works for the album. As proof from the tour poster, there's still plenty of art that could have been used for shirt design as well as poster and promotional graphics.

I am too, it was the first thing I noticed. That, and they're all black or white. I liked having the one off red or green or grey option. I'm pretty disappointed by the offerings. I appreciate the drastic change in style for the ones with the drawings, but they do absolutely nothing for me. I was really hoping to see the 3D design. Simple, but just a li'l different.

I bought both and love something different. I also like seeing Trent put ego aside and helping an artist like this. The black shirt caught me by surprise for sure... I saw MMR post the white one last week but was in disbelief that it would actually be a Nin shirt.

They're ugly, so am I. Don't like it, don't buy it. Now onto Red Rocks tomorrow... 100 signed posters randomly thrown into the piles. 2 different color schemes. I'm looking forward to attempting getting 1 of each. I looked all over the merch in Vegas hoping, bit didn't see any. I had many friends there who got the prints and no one heard of any being signed.

Edit: I know there was never mention of there being signed prints in Vegas, well they also weren't mentioned for Tension but they were there... Of course I'm going to try, beats watching Soundgarden.

I think you're misreading the description about these prints. Only one color scheme will be available each night, and each of them is limited to 100, signed and numbered by the artist, with a few randoms signed by both bands thrown in.

Looks like they had more shirts for the "official" start of the tour over what they had at Pemberton... That sucks to because the best shirt of the bunch is #10.
We didn't have shirt numbers 1, 2, 3 and 10 at the festival. I'm curious what the difference between numbers 2 and 10 is. Designs looks similar, did anyone buy that shirt?
What is on the back?

Prices in Canada were cheaper by $5 surprisingly. The shirts here were only $30, and usually it's the other way around. We usually get the shirts prices jacked up by $5 or $10.

I picked up 2 shirts. #4 and 7. But they screwed me on the tour shirt (#4), I asked for medium and they gave me a small!! And it was already between the medium and the large as it was... mediums have a tendency to be a little too tight on me these days, but small... pfft, yeah... no wearing that unless I want to cut off my breathing.

Here are some photos of the shirts I got for the curious:

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/ManBurning/SAM_0950_zpse3a0f797.jpg

We also didn't have the poster for sale at Pemberton, which looks awesome!

Luckily I'm catching another show at the end of the tour (The "Portland" one), so I can grab shirt design #10 and the poster then. Like I need anymore NIN shirts... I must have about 20 now.

I have this self imposed rule of only buying silkscreen prints:-

- as many as I like of my favourite musicians (for example, I got the Austin City Limits NIN print last year but I wasn't at that show)
- as many as I like my favourite artists (I have about 4-5 favourites. Coincidentally my favouite artist produced the ACL print so called him to buy it ;) )
- other than the above, only buy prints for shows I've attended.

Based on that criteria I may well ask a friend to pick up those prints Red Rocks prints. Still thinking about it.

I managed to get a Jermaine Rogers print at a a Black Crowes show last year. I didn't notice it was signed by the band until I got home - it's really nice :)

I think Jermaine does some A/P rainbow hologram/foil prints occasionally so there may well be a fancy sparkly edition of that print via his website (or maybe a backlight edition) but not always. Just something to look out for :)

I'm surprised how few shirts there are compared to Tension (and for the record I actually really didn't mind any of the Tension merch). The tattoo "artist" that did those two new shirts amazes me in terms of how much so many people seem to like those designs. I guess it's an art style I just don't get. Really disappointed that the only shirts here I'd want are either the exact same ones I bought last year with a different year on the back, or have the oddly spaced lettering for tour dates on the back. At least I'll save a ton of money this go around!

Yeah, that's the only reason I picked one up. Friend who saw the merch at the show before me came back to report there was "an odd looking shirt that looked like it was a bootleg because it has some weird scribbly drawing and font on it" and I was curious with what this so called hideous bootleg shirt looked like, that when I saw it I was like "hmm... Well, at least it's something different"

I don't need another shirt that has a big, small or medium sized "NIN" logo in a box in the centre of the the front. I have about 15 of those already... This shirt, as odd as it is, is at least something different. It does look very odd, but in a cool way.

Not that I've ever seen. But at the Tension shows, they let us go in, buy merch, run it to our cars, and return to the venue.

At the Tension 2013 show I was at the merch booth was outside the actual ticket pickup area, so you could buy stuff and still go put it in your car. I don't know what the setup if going to be like during this tour/at each venue, but there's at least a chance.

I just hope they don't go as fast as the show with the NIN/SG poster. We don't have to worry about pit this tour so I will get there early and go straight to merch.

San Antonio sold out of the NIN poster we wanted last year! I ran around to all the merch booths like a crazy lady...and they were already gone. We didn't want to carry it around with us the whole time, and we assumed they had plenty because of the huge stacks!

Will def. be getting there and going in during early entry this time.

Oooo — much bigger, thank you.

I wish there was a t-shirt with that duct-tape SG logo (the one on the #15 hoodie). Since the NIN shirts aren't exactly improving on the ones I have, I'm more interested in the Soundgarden shirts this time around.

I'm hoping that by the time DEP starts their leg, they sell a poster with this image:

and with the tour dates at the bottom. It would look SICK.

Regarding those odd ball NIN shirts, I wonder if Josh Freese's son drew them up. (Doubtful, I know, but just a thought of who actually drew them up)

Didn't get get one but I do like- kind of cool change of pace with the bootleg generic look and most people won't recognize it due to the NIN logo.

There are a lot of NIN logo vinyl stickers on Amazon. No idea if they're official, but they definitely work.

I plan on getting the Summer 2014 one and hopefully *hopefully* a Soundgarden one. The whole selling out in 20 min. makes me nervous. I would like a signed one, but I would take either one as long as I get one. I'm going to 2 shows show I have two chances. We shall see. Keep posting those posters from the different shows everyone! Really. they used to at least number them...I think the OKC one from 2010 was one of like 255 or something, but the last few tours they haven't numbered them, so not really sure how many are getting put out there that are signed. The thing with signed posters is they're neat and all, but I think buying a pre-signed poster kind of defeats the purpose.
Like, if you didn't physically see the artist sign them, it's kind of pointless (in my eyes anyway).

I think a signed poster means a lot more to the owner of the poster if they got to see the artist sign it with their own two eyes.
But that's just my personal opinion.

That's because it was a special poster for that city, and the bands had to actually sign them on deadline (on the HTDA tour, for instance, the signed posters -- which changed each night -- sometimes wouldn't show up until after doors had opened, because TR and Q hadn't made it to the venue yet). That won't happen with the regular posters. They're likely signing them in big batches, so there will be no wait each night.

For me it's just cool to know that an artist I love and admire signed something that I now have, especially considering the value you're getting it at. I won a signed poster by all of NIN/QOTSA for free and cannot wait for it to come in, loving both of those bands immensely and getting something like that for free? That's an amazing feeling. I'm already intending on picking up a poster for this tour, so knowing that if I time it right I can get one signed for the same price as the standard edition, why not try for that? It'll look great in a frame, along with my collection, and is just a neat, unique piece of memorabilia to have. It's not the kind of thing I would ever sell, just having it alone is more than enough of a value for me.

I found a picture of a silkscreen poster of just SG. I can't remember which show either CO or Vegas. Maybe only CO is getting the NIN/SG poster. The rest of the cities are just getting a SG poster and then the all dates NIN one. I could be wrong. I have seen numerous bands/artists that do the posters and they usually have a new artist for each different city.

Red Rocks got a special poster designed by Jermaine Rogers, with both bands on it.

For the rest of the tour, it looks as if NIN will have just a regular tour poster, but with a few of those posters signed by the band slipped into the stack each night. It also looks like Soundgarden will have special limited-edition posters unique to each venue.

Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

I think you're missing the point. It's not about having a complete signed poster by everyone in "Band A" and "Band B" in the situation where you "randomly found TR or Robin Finck or Chris Cornell walking around". You wouldn't go "Hey man, can you take me to the rest of the band so they can sign it to?" You would just be happy as fuck for having that experience, that story to go along with it.

You know, when it's hanging framed on your wall, and your friend comes over and says "wow, look at that signed poster from everyone in NIN, got a story to go behind it?" and all you can say it "Nope, not really... just bought it at the merch booth for $40 it came signed already" as opposed to just having it signed by Trent alone, you have a better story and therefore it MEANS more to you. You can reminisce about that time when YOU MET TR AT THE SHOW WALKING AROUND BEHIND THE VENUE!!

To me, I would rather have a poster with 1 signature if it meant getting it on my own, than a poster signed by everyone that I just bought. Hell, you have no way to even prove the signatures are authentic if you never saw the artist sign them yourself. Not saying someone in the NIN/SG camp is gonna forge the bands signatures, but if you want the peace of mind knowing is came straight from the man himself, I think it means more to get it signed by them.

I know your chances are slim to none of that happening though, that's what would make it more meaningful. There was a time back in 2001 in Toronto that I met 4/6 members of Rammstein just hanging around the concert venue before the show. I was nervous and shaking as fuck, but I approached them and asked them to sign my herzelied CD insert, they all gladly did, and we took photos together after. It is one of the most unforgettable times of my life. I have that experience and those signatures to look back on over randomly buying a signed CD or poster that has been pre-signed.

It just means more to the person getting it signed, you have to see where I am coming from. It's neat to have a signed poster and all, but it's WAY better if you hunt down your idol and got it signed yourself. That's priceless. You cannot put a price on that.

Maybe I just say that because i've been fortunate enough to have found a lot of rockstars when they've been out and about including TR himself, Dave Grohl, John 5 and Twiggy and members of Rammstein.

ManBurning I won't lie I'm insanely jealous about the Rammstein thing.

For me personally I would hate to seek out bandmembers solely to bother them to sign things; some people are totally cool signing things for everyone, and some are probably incredibly tired/annoyed by it. The last thing I would want to do is meet someone like Trent Reznor and just know that I'm irritating him.

I don't think anyone was arguing that it isn't cooler if you met the band in the process, but for most people, even just getting that piece of memorabilia is a wonderful way to remember a special time/place in their life.

I know exactly what you mean by you might feel like you are bothering them or intruding on them or something. But, it does come with the job description. They must know that. I mean, that's what they signed up for, i'm sure they get used to it and are just glad to have made some fan's day.

With that said, you still need to respect them. There is defiantly a time and place for it. Like, if you just see them casually hanging around the venue chilling, you know they're probably cool with it. But if they're in line at McDonalds waiting for their burger and fries, that's probably not the best time to ask them to sign something. It's about using your judgement, and I know there would be people who would have no shame and go walk up to someone famous while they are eating with their family, that's not the time and place to do so.

I think if it's a 1 on 1 kinda thing where they aren't being crowded and intimidated with hundreds of fans shoving markers and papers in their face, they're usually OK with it. If I were in their shoes, I wouldn't want to be signing things for those people either. I wouldn't want to get mobbed. But if someone recognized me walking down the street to the venue i'd be more than happy to stop, shake their hand and sign something for them.

But I am a everyday joe and have not had the pleasure. He is a very hard man to meet. Your rammstein story is very cool they are a cool band. Ive meet some bands myself and had the whole band sing something bands like in flames, (original) Korn, Kitty, Im this moment, it dies today, and Chino from Deftones, and each time was a moment in time for me something very special. I would say that meeting chino was that heavy breathing sweaty palms shit, but I put TR and NIN in higher regard so just to get something that he signed is good and fine of a story and moment in time for me. I dunno, I think you might be overstating the link between the event (meeting the band) and the artifact (signed copy of whatever). I have met the band, and they all signed my copy of The Slip. But I also have books that were signed by the author out of my view, and encountered celebrities without getting an autograph. Having that CD isn't making my encounter with NIN more meaningful than any of the others, and those signed books are just as real as the CD.

I was just lucky enough to get it all done in one swell foop. :p

I think it is how you approach them and having certain boundaries. I have done this as well before the show. I have never had a problem with this, even Billy Corgan was ok with this and he usually hates signing autos/pics, lol. I guess because I'm a young female. haha. It's the way you approach.

ok.. back on topic :) more SG posters.

I just got my pre-sale instructions. I don't remember the whole "No in-n-out." maybe because they let us go to the merch booth and then go to our car last tour. ughh. I was hoping to go back to my car since we have seats and doesn't matter to loose place. I guess I will have to carry my SG poster around. I'm not worried as much for the NIN posters. Hey, I guess it's good we get in early. Hopefully, we can start lining up for the merch even if they don't have it fully set up.

Hi,

anybody going to any future NIN/SG shows, and wouldn't mind picking up the shirt #7 in XL that is pictured in the link above. I will pay you extra $25 over the $35 cost of the shirt and pay the shipping and handling. Just pm me and let me know you are willing to do that and I will edit this post immediately to keep from multiple people doing it. I have purchased merch from other members here with positive feedback. Payment will be made through paypal. Thank you.

thank you to all who may have considered, somebody has agreed to do this thanks again

That's because last tour there was a merch booth outside the ticket gate. They've never let people go into the venue, back out, and in again that I've ever know.

Something to keep in mind is these are amphitheaters....everything is outside. What the pre-sale team can do is based on the venue setup. Most places won't have somewhere they can keep us separated if the venue isn't ready for us to go to our seats/ga. This was possible last year because we were in arenas and concessions/entrances are walled away from the seats. Once they let us 'inside' the amphitheaters, we're in and not leaving till the show is over. So one should probably just expect to get their merch and go to their seat. Of course the pre-sale rep will be there and you can validate w/ her what is possible at your show if the email doesn't say otherwise. :-)

I was nin.com presale. When I saw the hoodie, which wasn't at the Toronto outside of venue booth, I asked if I could go back out to my car to get my wallet to buy it (since we still had plenty of time before we went in to the seat/floor area of the venue, and I figured if my reason was "I want to spend money" they might let me.) They said I was now inside the venue, so there would be no re-entry. I was pissed that they didn't have the outside merch booth set up before we had gone in, I really wanted that hoodie. And of course, this tour they replaced it with the plain NIN logo only hoodie. Boo.

I have no idea how you managed to go back outside and come in again.

I've never been to PNC where there wasn't merchandise outside the venue before the show. Its typically right by the stairs where you pick up your tickets. Also, when you get in, if you go to the right by the food/beer/restrooms, they are typically set up there. I picked up a poster at the last show I saw nin there, after it was over. But that was your generic one. Not sure how the typical fanbase acts with show specific artwork. Maybe the early entry can help out with grabbing one or two.

Not to bring up Pearl Jam again, but if this was their tour, those fans go ape shit over the posters. Scalpers actually go in early to snag them up and resell on ebay for ten times their value. And the fanboys buy them and spend tons of money to get them matted and framed. I'll just try to grab one and put it in a generic frame from Michael's for now. I'll do my best to pick up a couple if I can. Would appreciate the same if anyone else is going and I happen to miss out.

I think more and more people are catching onto these signed posters, they are getting tough to get your hands on. I asked about them as soon as I got into the Toronto venue last night and the guy said they may show up during ORN's set. I waited around and watched the booth like a hawk for them but somehow they managed to show up and disappear in a flash. The girl at the booth said the guy who delivered them was followed by a group that snagged them all up right away. Didn't hear from anyone who got one. Are they signed by both bands? I did however manage to grab one of the 75 out at the merch booth that was set up outside of the venue before the show. Looked like he might have had 25 or so of them, glad I was able to put mine in the car before the rain hit! Unsigned date specifics were gone before the show started at $45. No shortage of the full tour poster for $25. Soundgarden's poster sold out by the end of the night too $40.

Miles Tsang is awesome by the way! He just did the latest Queens posters for Oshawa and London, Ontario - Fear and Loathing style.

I snagged one. I wish NIN and Soundgarden would do that. All my frames are from Michaels. They aren't bad frames. If they are a weird size, I would get them custom framed, but most tour posters are 18 x 24

do you think security would give me crap for bringing a poster tube in? I know it depends on the venue. Since they won't let us leave and come back, it looks like I will be carrying it the whole night. I don't want to get it messed up.

no problem with poster tubes anywhere I've ever been.

They didn't allow tubes at the Tinley Park show. Your best bet is to contact the venue in advance and check and don't be shocked if the say yes over the phone (or email) and change their mind the day of the show.

I walked up to the booth about 1 minute before the guy came with the signed posters. One other guy followed him but I knew right away what they were because he was being so secretive about it. I was lucky to be at the front of the line and my girlfriend and I both grabbed a copy for ourselves. It was her birthday, so not a bad gift. We also got two of the guitar picks that Trent used during the show. They still have the dirt smudges on the back from his sweaty hands..

I took my tube into the Molson Amp last night. They had to check with the head of security, but he let it go. Thank god....It poured like crazy at the end of the show and the crowd took forever to exit the venue..

Correct me if I am wrong, but I only see 7 signatures. I can spot out Trent, Chris, Ben, Robin and Ilan. I'm assuming the other two signatures belong to Kim and Ally. Is Matt Chamberlain not signing the posters?

I see 8 on the poster to the left. Someone signed it in a not highly visible area. It blends in.

I'll just go with a t-shirt … that poster is great but I don't want to get trampled. I mean, 75 per show?

(Though this might be an upside to the low turnout at Mansfield.)

Are they not selling the tubes at shows? If my poster gets wet/trampled, I'm going to be PISSED.

No tubes, but they gave out small-ish plastic bags at the Toronto show. I'd imagine you could ask for a few bags to avoid it getting wet. I wound up using the bag they gave me and a large plastic bag I brought with, then put it with my messenger bag under my chair. (Luckily) didn't get trampled, and it stayed dry.

hmm.. I might stuff a bag in my purse in just in case they won't allow my tube. good idea.

does anyone think it's necessary to get there before the regular 6pm door time to get one of these at tomorrow's Mansfield show? I have the presale tix, but I really dont want to wander around the venue for 2 fucking hours before the opener even starts. OH WHAT TO DO WHAT TO DO!

If you have a seat, get there whenever you want. Worst that will happen is you have to ask some people to get out of your seats.

How do you manage to get guitar picks?

I've got a JMJ pick from LITS and and a trent pick from Tension just by being on the rail and being super lucky.

if you're fucking with me, then good job. However, if you're not, you're not following the point of this thread very well. I'm referring the awesome limited poster that will be for sale, and if I'm being crazy by thinking I need to be there at 5pm to get one. I feel like I can probably still get one at 6pm or thereabouts, no?

It's usually after the show the roadies will throw out the setlists, extra pics, sometimes the drumsticks that kinda thing.

How many of the show specific prints is each person allowed to buy??? Really Hoping it's only one each so everyone gets a fair chance at em. I'm gonna be at Camden and Pnc this week so hopefully will be grabbing one of the ones already shown for the Camden show and one for the pnc show. I'll post a pic of the PhD show one as soon as I get it. Also hope there are also soundgarden show specific ones at both shows as well. I'm a huge memorabilia collector and would love to add as many more as possible to my collection. Autographed would be sick since I currently have no MiN or soundgarden autographed stuff but just really want the prints in general.
IF ANYONE GETS ONE AND WOULD LIKE TO SELL IT FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME. It heightenes my chance of getting one even though I'll be there for the early entry and will hopefully be able to get one on my own. Also if anyone could post new pics of the merch stand and let everyone know if they had one outside at the show you were at that would be sick. Thanks. Later
