I am. But their new song is meh. I always thought Jeff's songs were better than Kerry's. I explain it better and in more detail here (http://milklizards.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/half-of-slayer-release-a-new-song-unsurprisingly-its-pretty-meh-also-new-album-and-new-label/) (If you excuse my Whoring).
But everything other than Diabolus In Musica, I find awesome, but my favorite is Reign in Blood. Cliche, yes, but it is still my favourite Thrash album.

LaneSax

I think Diabolus in Musica has some gems but the rest filler.

Gotta say I feel "Divine Intervention" and "World Painted Blood" are my least favorites.

Jeff was Slayer, in my opinion. Without Dave too, I have no expectations for the new album so will be glad if the tunes are half decent.

Sorry if someone thinks that this should go on the controversial opinions thread (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/threads/940-Controversial-Music-Opinions) but in my opinion this band should not exist anymore, it's just not the same without Jeff, heard the new track but it didn't do much for me, if the whole album is like that i think my point will be proven...

Get "South of Heaven", it's their second best album and the next one after "Reign in Blood", it has awesome tracks like "Mandatory suicide" and "South of Heaven", afterwards you can buy "Seasons in the Abyss" that it's also great and the next one after "South of Heaven", then you can complete their discography either going backwards and getting the first two albums (good but not great), or getting more recent stuff like "God hates us all" and/or "Christ Illusion" (both great albums).

Seasons, as a whole, is a great album. I think if you polled most fans Seasons and RIB would rank 1 and 2 in some order.

While I might be in the minority who doesn't enjoy Reign In Blood as much as other Slayer albums, I think "Postmortem" is one of their best songs!

I've seen Slayer five or six times, they've never put on a bad show that i've seen, always really full on and intense. The last time I saw them was at Sonisphere festival a few years ago, maybe 2011, when they were doing a 'big four' thing with Metallica, Megadeth and. Anthrax, even in the day the show had the same intensity. One of their shows, Newcastle (UK) in the early nineties, would be in my top 5 shows of all time.

Postmortem is most excellent and the end of the song that leads up to Raining Blood makes it all that much better. Excellent track segueing in that.

I am surprised by Repentless too. I wasn't expecting much from the singles until I heard the title track

in ETS tradition, here is how I rank the Slayer albums

1. Seasons in the Abyss
2. South of Heaven
3. Christ Illusion
4. Show No Mercy
5. Reign in Blood
6. Repentless
7. God Hates Us All
8. Hell Awaits
9. World Painted Blood
10. Diabolus in Musica
11. Divine Intervention

I think it's pretty underrated

"Bitter Peace" is my favourite Slayer from any of their albums.

"Stain of Mind" is another great track from it. Wish they'd play either on tour

i realize jeff cannot be replaced, but if you saw them live i'd bet you'd come around...gary does one hell of a job and really brings a lot of energy.

i'm really looking forward to the tour opener here in chicago and how the repentless tracks will mix into what is always a very solid set.

So Kerry King's "solo" album is running in the wild and yeah, even with Mark Osegueda on vocals, if it was labeled as Slayer, I wouldn't hear much difference. Not saying it's bad, though. After all King was Slayer's core composer and new "Slayer" is always welcomed.
