Using the freeware app Miro, I managed to download the videos that NIN, HTDA and Rob's Vimeo accounts provide in their "Original" format (one of the options that appear when you press the Download button in some of their vids). The "Originals" are the files that Rob uploaded to Vimeo before they were re-encoded and compressed for streaming; even when you press the HD button on Vimeo, the stream is still slightly inferior in quality than the "Original" ones.

Anyway, the picture quality on these is amazing, especially on the 2009 live material and the HTDA music videos (except for How long and Ice Age, which are not available in "Original" format). the "The Loop Closes" original file is 1.5GB!

I'm thinking of making an archive of these, like a torrent or a site that would like to host these. There probably won't be any copyright issues, since these are all available for free, right?

I guess that’s totally ok. Looking forward to it.

Hey guys, does anybody know where I can find a download of the bootleg "in this twilight"? It was made by the same person that made "all that ever was" but was made entirely out of tracks from the 2005-2007 tour with Aaron North on guitar (http://www.nin.wiki/In_This_Twilight_(Live_2005-2007) more info). There used to be a link on TBP but its long out of date. Thanks a bunch to all the people that have uploaded stuff so far, ive found some great downloads here! I dont remember who but someone here was looking for the Bonnaroo 2009 show, i dont know if its still seeding but heres the link i used http://bt.etree.org/details.php?id=525919

I'm guessing this is the right place to ask this.

But I had an awesome MP3 bootleg show from the 2008 Lights in the Sky Tour that I lost from my computer. I can't remember where it was from but I would have found the audio on ETS so I'm guessing it's a popular one. All I know for sure is at the start of March of the Pigs Trent says "Come on pigs....get the fuck up....MARCH!" I know he says some version of that a lot but it was those words, word for word.

Feel free; it's not my music anyway :p

As far as lineage, that was a quick one I did using Passkey for Blu-ray & DVD Audio Extractor. There's a million different ways I could do it again, whether it's ripping the entire Blu-ray and using something like eac3to, or taking the easy way out with DVDFab, MakeMKV, etc. If you have the others I don't know how necessary it is to do another demux?

Whoa, I had completely forgotten about that! Thanks for reminding me. Unfortunately, How long? and Ice age were not available as Originals, probably because they weren't directed by Rob and therefore he wasn't allowed to make the Original files available for us to download.

I've successfully been able to download the entire torrent of Sacramento and Victoria from the Gift (thanks to the seeders if they are from here - and I'm still sharing, if you ask), but unfortunately the Portland show is still stuck at 91.6%. Surprisingly, all the CAM*-3 are 100%, as well as CAM1-1 and CAM1-2.

So if somebody is willing to share, even video by videos (it is huge and has like 6 years), that would be great for me and the two poor peers waiting since a year ;)

Thanks!

I'm trying to get hold of some decent artwork for a couple of NIN bootleg DVD's:

Behind the Scenes of Closer 3 dvd set
Live at the Wiltern 2009 (Wave Goodbye Tour)
Live at Atlanta 2009 (Wave Goodbye Tour)

I made some covers for the other dvd's I did, although I had to get quite creative with the scissors to get them to fit... first set was too small, second set too big  otherwise I'd post them here for others

@InsecureSpike (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=2902) - I do, I'll upload to my dropbox and post a link in a few minutes

Prick self titled album with artwork (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/6nwu1kaq2dzyosn/W_zlOYKkxL)

The link to this album appears to be dead. If it's no trouble, could you re-upload it? I'd like to give it a listen.

Thank you in advance.

I found a deck and have been going through a few of my old work tapes. This is from a MTV "best of" weekend or something, but what's cool is that this was the first glimpse of the prototype "HD Vision" feed from Polygram & NHK. Prior to the Music Vault release, the only footage available was the 4:3 SD from the PPV.

I'm sharing this because it's much cleaner and sharper than what Music Vault has available on their YouTube page. I assume their source was a VHS or perhaps they encoded it poorly as the black levels are crushed.

Anyhow, if you dig it - cool. Here's the Mega link (https://mega.co.nz/#!W5IghShT!SwHFNFBX77UqkOCQf39nzNCDAxTeS_H8_Jxw7Li RPpY).

Hello, I just uploaded this on http://www.multiup.org/download/3eea197b5758bf75f6a6ea863f8f7676/Nin_-_Sin__TVT_ful_lVersion_.zip

Nin - Sin (TVT ful lVersion)(Multi Audio and subs)

On 5 november 2001 TVT Records put online the Nine Inch Nails videos he got, along the 3 Pretty Hate Machine videos there was the unfamous Sin video. Only available partially on the closure dvd (yes, there is a closure deluxe dvd) and rumored as being play in gay clubs, this was the first time we could watch it online.

This pack tries to offer that rare video

Nin - Sin (TVT ful lVersion).asf 9.84MB
-the original file, using a crappy VOX audio codec, but playable on Videolan VLC

Nin - Sin (TVT ful lVersion).codec.VoxWare MetaSound Audio CoDec 1.6.0.17.zip 0.6MB
-The original Vox Codec, please do not install it, it doesn't do anything on my Win7 and you don't even need it anyway

Nine Inch Nails - Sin (Full Dvd Cd sound French).mpg 42.1MB
-This video file offered by NinNewsFr back in 2006 include forced french subtitles, forced cd sound, and a video mix between TVT and the bootleg dvd version of Closure

Nin - Sin (TVT ful lVersion)(Multi Audio and subs).mkv 161MB
-This is a modern version of the original file. High Quality (10xbitrate) H264 video copy, Dual PCM sound Original or CD boosted (that is using a CD version of the Sin (Short) mix and keeping start and exit video sounds). And 2 optional subtitles in english or french.

Ninjaw P.B.

PS: Please help putting back online The file Portland CAM7-2.mov
PS2: Multiup.org is a great tool that upload on several websites, it works really great into JDownloader and will take some time to spread

Nine Inch Nails - Into the void (video versions + FRA/ENG subtitles)(2000)
Upload by NinNewsFr

Nine Inch Nails- Into the Void (2000)-Original.m4v 57MB
The Fragile videos never been sold on DVD, I know that Ninjaw offered a 211MB "near dvd" version on torrent, but the source was a bought 48MB WMV version. So this recent version is official and freely available, biggest bitrate and better H264 codec. I think we're safe to say that this is better to the Itounes version. You can freely download it on Vimeo.com

IntoTheVoid_alternate.flv 31MB
On 13 sept 2007 Walter Stern uploaded his work on academyfilms.com as reported on NinNewsFr #1441 it included a very rare version of Into The Void: second part was white, included one or two womens singing. Extreme close up also included them and a notorious shot of inside Trent Reznor. That video was reedited later back in america by Jeff Richter that shot the red part. Of course this is the original FLV video.

(Into The Void) i4.mov 11MB
Official making of of the Jeff Richter part. Part of 12 "Behind the scenes" videos that made nin.com back at the time. This is showing the full song played by the band, in the red room, in one shot.

i got tired of a friend telling me how awesome the fan made 5.1 mix is and well, i had been waiting for an official re-issue of The Fragile which Trent mentioned a year or two ago but then again i was also one of those people who were waiting for the Tension Blu-ray DVD too.
anyway, figured at least a few people here would have that 5.1 mix of The Fragile, guess not.

Yeah, that's why I think you may be thinking of something else. Year Zero, Ghosts, The Slip all have 5.1 mixes from official multitracks, With Teeth has one from its own official release. There's a few cobbled together from multis ripped from guitar hero etc ... but The Fragile doesn't really have enough available to make a real 5.1

Yeah, that's why I think you may be thinking of something else. Year Zero, Ghosts, The Slip all have 5.1 mixes from official multitracks, With Teeth has one from its own official release. There's a few cobbled together from multis ripped from guitar hero etc ... but The Fragile doesn't really have enough available to make a real 5.1

there was a torrent a while back that contained someone's attempt at putting the fragile in 5.1. not sure how they did it, but they formatted it as a DTS-CD. so i downloaded and burned it, and broke out my old pioneer elite dvd player that was actually capable of decoding a DTS-CD. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't even close to what a true 5.1 mix would be. it's really not worth your time trying to track it down.

Yeah that's what I tought, at the very least you'll have the natural 4.0 dolby stereo, but no more.

If anyone's interested, I'll be hosting the Year Zero and The Slip fan-made 5.1 mixes by demo on MEGA. I will only keep them up for a week or so, so get clicky. Use 7-Zip Manager to join the files.

I was reading the Discipline page on the nin.wiki: http://www.nin.wiki/Discipline
And it is mentioned that the wav download version was longer than the album one. I guess it refers to the wav package originally shared, with the problem of the 24/96, because the """new""" files are just regular version of Discipline, lasting 4:19.
Does somebody still have this wav file which lasts 4:34 ?

And also, I guess someone already combined the multitrack version, if somebody can share it too (I could do it myself though), it would be great.

Single download was not wav, it was mp3 in zip archive, 4 min 29 sec, 8859592 bytes total (8676775 used for audio), variable bitrate, 257 kbps average.
Multitracks are 5 min 8 sec, HD WAV was same length as CD, 4:19

I found back the 4:34 version in my archives.. guess what, it's one of the difference i found between Nine Inch Nails - The Slip - 96-24 Wave OLD CORRUPTED VERSION and Nine Inch Nails - The Slip - Wave 96-24 High Res also guess what else it looks like I shared the multitrack version back then (4:59 for me) :
Nine Inch Nails - Discipline + Intrumental (Flac) (2008)Free single
Unofficial Flac Versions made from WAV lossless multitracks
Include homemade instrumental version + official ID3tag

Made in France
Ninjaw P.B.

So I corrected ninwiki : The version on The Slip is 4:19 and starts to fade out at the end, but then abruptly cuts off as it segues into "Echoplex (http://www.nin.wiki/Echoplex)." You can find in the scrapped 24/96 WAV format download, a 4:34 version that fades out slower and to a more complete silence than the MP3 version. However the final WAV24/96 does have the regular 4:19 version.

i meant the fan made one.
i got tired of a friend telling me how awesome the fan made 5.1 mix is and well, i had been waiting for an official re-issue of The Fragile which Trent mentioned a year or two ago but then again i was also one of those people who were waiting for the Tension Blu-ray DVD too.
anyway, figured at least a few people here would have that 5.1 mix of The Fragile, guess not.

I *think* I still have this, but it isn't on my NAS, so it must be on a backup DVD somewhere. Yes, this is what I've got:

9d5bbd1ff961b40a968143d225068b28 ./the fragile (surround)/right.cue

ac8f23098b6766676481346a579e4167 ./the fragile (surround)/right.log

Actually it is the first time I hear about this format ! Reading the specification, and... I don't get the point of it.

Makes me think, is there somewhere a list of NIN songs (and let's say, versions, remix etc) with their maximum bitrate/frequency available ? Or, just a list of the HD songs (more than CD quality) available. Could be interesting thing to do.

not really much to list in regards to lossy compressed tracks, but worthy of note:

remix.nin.com:
160-192 kbps - the fragile/tfa.com remixes (no, you don't, la mer, the fragile, the new flesh), vinyl mixes of tpd (aphrodite) and his (pk), instrumentals of tpd, deep, year zero and almost all of tds.
256 kbps - last butch vig remix.
not counting even deeper (tta love dub), closer (thrust) and illum tangendo (stella soleil) - those exist in cd-quality.

apple music connect: instrumental with teeth and the fragile - 256 kbps.

also technically lossy are various video edits that are on closure/vimeo/youtube but not worth listing them all because _video_ is the important part

chuenthez
01-26-2016, 09:28 AM
Talking about Illum Tangendo, the FLAC version I got here: http://sistersoleil1.bandcamp.com/track/illum-tangendo-produced-by-trent-reznor
seems to be a FLAC made from MP3 when I looked at the spectre (don't have the tools here but it worth checking)

I think jaimeleschips might have meant sample rate rather than bit rate, however

remix.nin.com:
...
apple music connect: instrumental with teeth and the fragile - 256 kbps.

You're comparing apples to oranges here, though, because MP3 bitrates are not directly comparable to AAC (which was the format that the WT and TF instrumentals were released)

01-26-2016, 10:38 AM
I read numerous times here that they're "equally shitty". There are people here who claim "if it's lossy i hear it". Whatever.
I can't say i'm one, but i was shocked by aforementioned Discipline presented in 96 kHz, it sounds so tight (for lack of better word) it puts to shame many other nin singles and deep cuts.

Me neither.

I think ninjaw must have been referring to the multitracks for Year Zero (16/48) but that's "cheating" because they are unmastered, and even if you merge all the multitracks you don't end up with the "final" track for that reason.

No idea what the source for 16/48 Fragile is.

I recently lost my whole digital music collection and slowly re- building my NIN library ripping my old CD's and downloading some stuff like the instrumentals posted on this thread. I tried ripping my NIN dvd's also but my computer's drive isn't reading any DVD's and can't seem to find anywhere an active seed for the BYIT DVD audio rip. Could anyone help with this? I would really appreciate it.

You can no longer download from Apple Music Connect. They took out as a feature I suppose.

Related to Apple Music, search for "Nine Inch Nails" and drill down thru the playlists and you'll see a couple curated by yours truly!

I'm compiling The NIN Multitrack Collection 2.0. I'm adding WT+TF instrumentals, separated channels of AATCHB and BYIT, AS-era Manson, NiggyTardust instrumentals, and more. Still won't link to it here, but will PM anyone interested once its done. Any other stuff I should take into consideration?

I am interested, I would like to remember that aatchb exists in DTS and BYIT in 24bit.
Also I cannot remember even if I was almost the only one to do it, was rips from black ops in 5.1 ?

Yes. AATCHB has a DTS version (which I own) and is encoded in 24-bit (albeit lossy) 48-kHz DTS. I have decoded it into separated FLAC channels using eac3to (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=125966), which has the latest (and awesome) dcadec DTS decoder. BYIT Blu-ray has Dolby TrueHD audio, which is just as easy to decode with eac3to.

No. I ripped it myself as well. But, some files had, I think, some short, stripped-down versions of the track. I'll check my archive. If so, I will include them in my archive as well. Thanks for reminding me!

I think all these ideas (lumping together Manson and Niggy tracks, TF and WT instrumentals and dissected surround channels) are going 180 degrees from what is called multitracks. If you name your "archive" that way, know that you're dirty violating bootlegger.

Good points, there. Let me clarify some stuff:
Niggy instrumentals were already leaked (by CX himself, I think).
I believe Marilyn Manson multitracks are OK as long as they are produced by Trent, since we also share stuff by Pigface, Saul Williams and those two tracks by Jane's Addiction.
TR provided instrumental editions for TDS and YZ on remix.nin.com, so while TF and WT are not officially released outside Apple Music and sharing them is, technically, bootlegging, it is still on-topic.
Now, dissected surround channels of live DVDs is a grey area, and I'm considering not including them in the archive at all. I just believe that there are some samples in these channels that may prove to be helpful to remixers.

All of this stuff is "okay" for remixing use as long as they upload their stuff on the Unofficial Upload Page section of ninremixes.com and not the official remix.nin.com page.

And, yes, I'm aware that almost all of the stuff I'm talking about is violating rules. But, how is it any different from the NIN Guitar Hero and Rock Band multitracks or Doom/Quake SFX that were uploaded by ETS users on TPB and have been circulating for years? As long as they are not linked on ETS and only shared privately, I don't believe the admins should have any problems. The previous version of my archive is now dead, anyway. So, I can either re-up it as it was, make some changes/additions/removals or just let it die forever. Like I said, I'm open to all suggestions, and, if asked, will stop sharing stuff that may be too legally sensitive. botley Leviathant seasonsinthesky what do you guys think?

I have to clarify too, i'm not offended in legal sense, i'm simply in disbelief that these should be piled together, like they're of the same canon, just because we can.
And the Niggy stuff is ripped from studio promo that made its way onto open market, now i realize it could be "watermarked" and it makes me feel dirty and sick.

I get what you mean. I just thought it would be nice if there were stuff that TR worked as well from a production standpoint (and yes, I realize he didn't work on all of Niggy). I remember back in 2007 when we had a debate about whether or not we should add Niggy on the NINwiki, and eventually we decided that we should, just as long as we added pages for Manson's Portrait and AS as well (and we did). So, if Jane's "Chip Away" and Saul's "Break" are in the collection, why shouldn't "Tourniquet" be in there as well?

I use Trader's Little Helper (http://tlh.easytree.org/) as a front end for both auCDtect and shntool. Only works on .wav files and can be a little sketchy with electronic music.

If you wanted to take the time and set it up, there's also auCDtect Task Manager (http://y-soft.org/English/products/auCDtect-Task-Manager/), which will allow you to use auCDtect on any music file type (.mp3, .m4a, etc.). Doesn't work correctly for Windows 7-10, so you have to use in compatibility mode.

EDIT: Trader's Little Helper can also generate/verify checksums, as well as torrents.

I agree that ads on this multi-hoster are awful, just awful. Again, use Jdownloader, it will handle all of that shit adfree for you, 101 people succesfully did, and the best host is still alive here : http://dl.free.fr/bd3G99dnD well, it may not be the fastest (especially if you're not using free.fr ISP) but it surely is adfree ! About M4a I always provide original files, even if in this case I HAD to retag them, no need for something else.

I just reuploaded it to another multihost, it works the same, it is also JDownloader compatible, but probably have better ads.

Yeah sorry about that, i'm very much "paid but cheap" police-free and very fast downloading services (at least in my country). Those are alternatives to p2p like bittorrent, i think about Newsgroups, and those semi-direct-download-services. Those so called "Uploaded" files or better now "Uptobox" files, are working with ads, and they all have a premium service for max speed and file numbers and even real direct downloads. There's so many of them that we created JDowloader 100% free that can handle LOTS of hosts without ads, captcha, delays and limits, but also youtube and multihost services and other link protection service. Best of all it can also handle subscriptions like alldebrid.com, an amazing cheap service that will activate direct links and premium speed for a very large number of hosts, but not only ! It will also act as a proxy for your bittorents, it got a very powerfull bittorrent client that can very fast host very large files to Uptobox (especially if others already asked for it) The idea is of course to offer direct links for your torrents.

In this case M4A was the original and best quality offered by NIN, hopefully it's played by a lot of tools, and as it's already heavily compressed, there is no point to destroy further their quality into mp3 or even turn them to flac (pure lost of space and a lie about their quality for the other ppl that will download it). It's ok if you re-compress them into mp3 for your own needs, but you really shouldn't share them to other like this.

PS: Services like free.fr and mega are known for offering premium download without paying

I wouldn't waste your time on any of these bootlegs. They are all sourced from the same recording and just penned with different titles. Have at it with any of these. Although, I would say the 'rework' by Kevin C really does look/sound great.

Numberous recent releases surfaced, not because of the awful... AWFUL so called "rework" version, but because of the famous original footage released (as mentionned in the ninlive link lol), I found one of those 2016 bootleg trailer on youtube :

As you can see, it's awful too, better rip yourself the original thing :

Concert vault released it on video+mp3 and then became Music Vault on youtube. For the first time footage was in pure widescreen and without visual ads. Also never forget the "Happiness in slavery" remixed version by Trent, released too under the "Woodstock '94 highlights" compilation.

@ninjaw (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=746) , sometimes your messages get lost in translation and I am not sure if you're really coming off that harsh about the rework. It's not awful. I think for what it's worth, being from 1994 and not having a decent recording of the feed. This is some quality work. His methods were pretty sound and I doubt that it can be done any better.

Sometimes it blows me away how people can be so quick to criticize someone's work on the internet. When obviously there was a lot of time and care that went into it and wanted to present something awesome to other fans.

Bootleg ?, I prefer the concert vault's mp3 version, it may be me, but it sounds better to me, sure it's not flac.
@ninlive (http://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=1141) time ? work ? result is awful and totally useless, as i already told you directly. Especially now that pro source surfaced. You should consider offering it ? or even link the youtube.

It remind me when TR tweeted about a pré-avott version, this awful version was focusing on one show and didn't even bother to remove camera errors.

Does anyone have The Gift audio in a lossless format that they can send me? I wanted to download it from This One Is On Us, but it doesn't seem to be available anymore. I know the audio from all three shows is on NIN Live, but I'd rather not have to download them all.

Everybody should have it since it's almost an official rare live release, and of course it's a best of compilation of all three shows. Plz note that's the official release including two shows (it was also about Vegas)

This is a slightly different question to what I thought I'd be asking. Back when Closure DVD leaked, I downloaded the dual disc DVD version and burnt it, because my desire at the time was to have physical archives. My needs have now changed, and I'd prefer to maintain digital archives instead. I thought that there were simultaneous digital (xvid or whatever) versions released but I now see that they are rips from the DVD ISOs. My question would have been, which is the better quality, the XVID or the ISO? But I guess the answer is clearly the ISO. So instead my question is (and the answer of course would be subjective) is there an acceptable quality rip/transcode floating around for personal archiving purposes, its been 10 years (wow time flies), are godisvoid's DIVX rips still the "state of the art" or should I seek something else (or handbrake something better myself)? Thanks!

DivX is long time dead, as MPEG2, H264 is just everywhere. It's the best codec around there so .... I shouldn't say it since my xvid rip is popular, but yes the official huge mp4 offered on vimeo is an excellent version.

But what kind of question is that ? you absolutly dont need to transcode anything since you can create in a blink, a perfect copy into Mpeg2/AC3 MKV with usual tools (DVDFab) that way you will have chapters in a higher bitrate than vimeo, but yes it will be more huge (same size than iso obviously)

Last thing, iso a very common thing since it can now be played into vlc, kodi, some bluray players (Dune HD max) and it's even back into PowerDVD... if you keep the iso you will keep the very rare and cool menus, and that's the only way to do it.

Downloading and keeping the original ISO is the absolute best quality. Any transcode, there will technically be some quality loss by definition, though it may be imperceptible. Convenience sometimes trumps (imperceptible) quality loss, and ISO is not the easiest format to transport and playback, so I can understand the desire for modern digital files.

As ninjaw says, any transcodes from back then are technologically obsolete. Your best bet is to just redownload the ISO's and make your own rip, using something like Handbrake to create a new rip using either H.264 or H.265 to encode it. You'll get better quality and smaller file sizes, with convenience of the digital files.

Thank you folks. I realise that any downsample from the ISO will not be of the same quality from an archival perspective. I might just store the 9G as I'm not short of space on my NAS; and/or might make sure it gets onto archive.org. I fancied a transcode for convenience of playing, really. For that, the Vimeo is probably fine.

I know off topic, but ask and you shall receive. http://tooldriveproject.net/

I wanted to run the drive like that. Where there were master clones of the drive around the world. But it seemed too much hassle trying to keep everyone's drive in uniform. That's why I am the only one with the NIN master drive. I know what the edits are, and what has been added/removed from the drive and don't have to update x amount of people when I have made changes.

You need an editor like Audition or Audacity. I'll try to rip dailymotion, I only managed to rip YT before getting this other rip.

I suspect this could be a 6000 kbps video with a lower bit rate audio track, not more than 192k or 256k aac.

ninjaw
11-04-2016, 05:05 PM
Rip dailymotion ? HURRY !
So I tried.... It kinda works ! it unsynch from the start, very few, and you have about 1.5 to 2sec at the end. It may suit crazy people.... it does work very well for subs, I extracted english subs from the 5.1 release, and now I got Eng+Fre+Tur subs
Also 6000kbps was for video only ! that dailymotion video is really huge.

totom
11-05-2016, 11:05 AM
Yeah, Jdownloader is specifying audio track is only M4A 128k (why can't such a high bitrate video couldn't be associated with a lower quality audio track? Everything is possible, it's like having horrible fries aside a great and tasty piece of meat). BTW, JD won't download the video anyway so, in case you want to check that audio track, just use MKVmerge then an MKV Extract GUI2 to get the audio from your Dailymotion rip. That's how I usually proceed to rip audio track from a youtube/dailymotion rip.

EDIT: lucky for you CapTVty seems to do the trick.

totom
11-05-2016, 02:51 PM
So, I ripped the dailymotion video, do you want me to make a MKV version with 2 audio tracks plus all the subtitles available? Some kind of "hyper quality" rip?

I know mkv merge can set up any track with a time shift so it's no problem I guess. I just need to figure out the offset (easy too).

Well, I managed to extract both audio tracks from each video (RLSBB rip and Dailymotion), opened them both in Audition in order to detect the offset (AC3 is 120ms early) then I merged all the stuff within a new MKV in which I set up the offset (+120) for the 5.1 audio track. I didn't test it properly yet though. The file is now 4,35 GB.

Since the dailymotion version is at a decent enough bitrate, and (IMO) the audio is more important...personally, I'd re-encode the video to the match the frame rate of the 5.1 rip and then mux the audio at the proper offset. Theoretically, I think this should help with the drift and overall duration. I may give it a go later.

Edit:
So..not sure what the deal is. I've encoded hundreds of videos in all manner of codecs, but for the life of me, I can't get this to transcode properly. I think there's some malformed bytes in my dailymotion file that are causing problems.

Literally, every single time I get to about 0.3% complete (yes, mere seconds after starting) my entire computer hard locks.

Even just trying to remux the video into an mkv container takes WAY longer than it should.

I'm running out of tools at my disposal. Was curious if either of you have had issues with it. Maybe we could compare checksums on the original file downloaded to see if yours both match and mine's off.

I'd really like to transcode it to match the frame rate of the DD-5.1 download to see if the audio stays in sync.

If someone has all of it, let me know and I will host it on the nin live archive. Maybe ninwiki wants to have a page with this for download directing to the link?

I'll grab that one today, at least. I'm still trying to figure out how to hoover up the whole site. Most of the tools to do it remotely (Warrior etc) I don't think can cope with manual/modified DNS.

Edit: rather than spam multi threads on ETS, here's a status page for the archive effort http://archiveteam.org/index.php?title=Nin.com

Really interesting, thanks. Zane made a foo-bar when he talked about PHM coming out in '92, and that whole aside about his promo copy not being skippable was kinda weird, but I used to enjoy Zane when he was on the BBC, it was nice to hear his voice again, he's always been authentically interested in music and a big NIN supporter and it was nice for Atticus to contribute some too.

Guys, just found out official details about the unreleased playlist that I copied a long time ago :

Who remember what's about The new flesh A and B and TFA.COM versions ? THESE ARENT ON NINWIKI

The Hand That Feeds (Photek Ruff Mix)
Last (Butch Vig remix)
CD-quality version of the unreleased remix by Butch Vig.
The New Flesh (thingsfallingapart.com version)
One of two clips embedded into the thingsfallingapart.com website.
Every Day Is Exactly The Same (Edit)
Uncredited remix from a very limited European promo single.
The Fragile (deconstructed)
This is a remix by Keith Hillebrandt which was featured as a website-only download for a limited time on NIN.com during The Fragile era. According to Reznor, its structure was the inspiration for "The Frail."
Untitled (from thingsfallingapart.com)
One of two pieces of music embedded into the Things Falling Apart website. Not exactly a remix, but included for the sake of completion.
Happiness in Slavery (PK Slavery Mix)
Paul Kendall's remix of Happiness in Slavery only appeared on a "VIP" promotional 12" single for the track.
Closer (Thrust Remix)
This one didn't make the Closer to God single. It sounds like (Internal) by Bill Kennedy, Scott Humphrey, John "Geetus" Aguto, Paul Decarli, Eric Claudiex
A Warm Place (Featuring Stella Soleil)
Reportedly scrapped from the soundtrack for the movie Stigmata, Stella began giving this out to fans a few years ago.
Even Deeper (Telefon Tel Aviv Love Dub)
Unreleased until earlier this year, this was one of the first tracks by Telefon Tel Aviv.
No, You Don't (version)
A nin.com exclusive during The Fragile era, this remix is significantly more electronic than its album counterpart, based around stuttering beats.
The Perfect Drug (Aphrodite Mix)
From the promo only vinyl release of The Perfect Drug
La Mer (version)
A nin.com exclusive from The Fragile era, this Jerome Dillon remix features much more percussion-oriented loops, using atmospheric and base elements from the original.
Right Where It Belongs v2
This stripped down version was available as a bonus track on the Japanese release of [WITH_TEETH]

That is great ! And do you know if it would be possible to make a "copy" of the website, meaning using it exactly as it is. I guess it's difficult/impossible. But that would be great. For all nin.com stuff.

You can probably download everything without much trouble. I haven't spent much time exploring the archive dot org options, but they offer torrents for collections. I see that those files are mashups of the (seperate) remix mp3s, metadata and some profile data stuff.

I was wondering if someone would help me in obtaining the following remixes Trent's done in lossless...

12 Rounds - Pleasant Smell (Nothing Collective Rethink #1)
12 Rounds - Pleasant Smell (Nothing Collective Rethink #5)
Queen - Tie Your Mother Down (Re-Produced by Trent Reznor)
Machines Of Loving Grace - Burnt Offering
Machines Of Loving Grace - Burn Like Brilliant Trash (Radio Edit)
Machines Of Loving Grace - Burn Like Brilliant Trash (Dub)
N.E.R.D. - Lapdance (Trent Reznor Remix)
N.E.R.D. - Lapdance (Trent Reznor Remix) (Clean Edit)
Puff Daddy & The Family - Victory (Nine Inch Nails Remix) (Instrumental)
Puff Daddy & The Family - Victory (Nine Inch Nails Remix) (Radio Edit)
Curve - Missing Link (Screaming Bird Mix)

My NIN lossless collection is quite extensive. I have quite a few promos ripped as well as some remixes and collaborations with various artists. I'd say I have 95% of his discography in lossless while the rest is mp3. So I can possibly help return the favor with NIN material or perhaps other artists. I'm just looking for these remixes to complete my collection.

Thanks in advance!

While there's surely a need for something like this, the download archive is intended for things that never saw an official commercial release.

On the flip side of this, I own everything you're looking for (and perhaps more you weren't yet looking for?). The only exception being the Tie Your Mother Down remix which was only ever released via a mix tape Trent gave some dude at a house party (at least that's the story). On that, I've got the best version you're likely to find.
