The ampitheater is open during park hours- you can even go on the stage.

So is it worth it to go in super early? Can you buy food/beer early? Do they make you leave during soundcheck?

Id definitely go check it out early if it was the first time being there- there's a bar and grill type restaurant up there, and I think some vendors during the day. Park closes during sound checks and they start kicking people out.

Holy shit. Red rocks is fn dope... Scenery alone. Unfortunately in Camden as far as scenery goes... You got Philly..... And that's it.

You only say that because you haven't heard them. 30 minutes of this and I wanted to Erase myself. This was actually the highlight of the set right here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3-qoZ_2J_I

No really, why the fuck do they even give the dude a mic?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBGerFJkp_0

And seriously, you guys would take death grips over soundgarden?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGw7Wy6D4-M

MJK can't sing the long brutal notes like he used to. To say that he can't sing is a massive exaggeration.

Health are one if the best bands in the world today, stop being assholes - if you hate everything just shut the fuck up and enjoy the main show.

I think "Where is Everybody?" would be a great addition to the electronic part of the set. The ending would be really cool in a live setting, it could work like TGD.

I think "Where is Everybody?" would be a great addition to the Sacramento and Boston shows because that'll be literally what's going through his mind when they see the crowd (or lack there of).

Fixed!! :p

Something like "Can't wait to hear the worst songs off of Year Zero and The Slip".

And then T-Rez responded "Suck it".

god, I love the idea that there are people who hate modern NIN lurking but too afraid to post, scared that someone might say something mean on a message board

I love that so hard

It helps kill down time when NIN isn't active. Kind of like when football isn't on and you end up watching other sports. (I also heart hockey and basketball though)

To a lesser degree the time between Wave Goodbye and the festival run last year was pretty agonizing. There were tons of scores and HTDA stuff, etc., but as far as actual NIN content it was pretty bare (Tetsuo was amazing though).

Trent, if you realize there are better songs that you could be playing i.e. Demon Seed in place of Letting You and My Violent Heart in place of The Warning, why not play them?

Legit question!

Krazy

I was there- I know. Out of sight, out of mind.

Theres a bunch of times I completely forgot about about NIN post Fragile. I probably came back a bigger fan, WT era reminded me about what I was missing so in a way it may have been a blessing in disguise from that perspective.

So that instagram picture has NIN location at the Grand Olympic Auditorium. I'm assuming they're now in rehearsals for the new tour then?

They might have just tagged it as a reference for the Fragility dress rehearsal. The description says Los Angeles, but it doesn't specify where, so that might be their way of letting everyone know where it was.

What's funny is that the Grand Olympic Auditorium is now a Church, with Korean words on the building for some reason.

FNM would be cool to see. Don't sleep on Sabbath. I saw them last summer and had a blast at their show. I was grooving so much I didn't even realize all the cool visuals they had going on during it. I'm a huge Sabbath fan so I'm sure I liked it more than the average, but I really was impressed on how well they sounded.

There is a Korean Church near were I lived for a it and they would always come to my door and invite me to weird lectures. One was on spiritual metaphysics or something along those lines.

Koreans are massively, massively religious. It almost seems like a contradiction when you look at the joints in k-town...

I wonder if any of the people who go to that Korean church has seen Rage Against the Machine - Live at the Grand Olympic

Something to actually discuss that's tour related - Death Grips calls it quits on a napkin and Trent weighs in: http://www.mtv.com/news/1860598/trent-reznor-reaction-death-grips-split/

Who should open now? or will they say fuck it and play longer sets?

If they're going to seek a replacement, my vote is for Failure. I doubt they would accept, however. They just finished a long touring cycle (opening for Tool, and their own intimate tour) and also are working on completing new material for an upcoming album. I saw them twice this spring, and they are incredible live. I will capitalize on any chance at seeing them again.

But man.....Failure with SG/NIN would be epic.

Not much to speculate about, but i do want to share that i am a little disappointed about the floor seating arrangement for the Austin, Tx show. Who sits in a chair on the floor during a nin concert!? :( .....i had a dream last year that i attended a nin show and there were seats in the floor section. Only around 50 people/fans attended the show and it was horrible.

All I can think of with this forced seating thing is the bootleg of Trent telling the audience to pick up their chair and pass it to the security guards so you can rock out safely without chairs in the way.
