http://www.nintourhistory.com/profile.php?userid=4869 Now I know exactly when and where. I really didn't know NIN in 89 (and into Jan 90) and didn't think they opened in Cincy for JMChain. Glad to see that I was right, as they were not there, according to the site. Thanks for the site.

Shreena... 29 shows and 85 unique songs seen performed. What were you saying about European set lists being more varied?

Mine:
17 shows and 91 uniques songs.
http://www.nintourhistory.com/profile.php?userid=155

I'm just messing with you.

By the end of Tension, I will have seen 21 shows.

My favorites were:
2006-06-18 Saratoga Performing Arts Center : Got pit tickets... which was limited to probably less than 100 people... So I got to see NIN upfront, on the rail with no pushing whatsoever. That was mind-blowing on its own, and that tour had a really great setlist (SD, La mer, Into The Void, Big Comedown, Get Down Make Love, etc).

2008-11-12 Bell Centre : That was probably the best all around performance I've ever seen. It was in my hometown, they had more energy than any other show I've seen them play, the crowd was losing its mind and actually cared about the Ghosts segment (which wasn't the case at other LITS show I've seen), and there were no fuck ups with the screen either. Trent said that it was the best audience they've played to for as long as he could remember... Kinda corny phrase musician say at every show, but I think everyone on this page knows Trent never says that, unless he fucking means it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWJ5JLWSXCI

2009-08-22 Bowery Ballroom : Once again, tiny venue, great setlist, but most importantly, that was the best sounding venue I've ever heard them play in. No reverb whatsoever, bone dry. Somewhat Damaged was brutal.

17 shows attended (soon to be 18, this weekend), 88 unique songs.

Edit: Listing favorites, I can only narrow it to 3--1st, the Davis warm-up show (very small university room; felt like 200-300 people were there); 2nd, the "final" Wiltern show (special, extra-long good-bye set with guests); 3rd, the Bridge School Benefit (one of the few Trent Reznor solo shows; closest thing to a Still concert since it was acoustic).

Surprisingly, there are only a handful of shows that I attended that are not available on RITC (on a side note, where are all the Orlando tapers?!).

01/27/95 - Orlando, FL
05/14/00 - Charlotte, NC
10/25/05 - Orlando, FL
06/09/06 - Raleigh, NC
02/11/07 - Lisbon, PT
02/15/07 - Madrid, ES
02/16/07 - Bilbao, ES
02/18-19/07 - Barcelona, ES
02/21/07 - Paris, FR
10/28/08 - Orlando, FL
11/05/08 - Charlottesville, VA

For reference purposes, I've seen NIN in 25 states, plus D.C. The only states I haven't seen NIN perform (where they've played a gig previously) are: CT, HI, ID, IA, KS, LA, ME, MD, MN, NE, NH, NM, OK, RI, SD, and WI.

The Aragon is number one for obvious reasons. The show in Fort Wayne had a fucking fantastic setlist. Toledo was the worst.

I will be going to the Cleveland show this Fall. That will make 13 in 2013... nice.

Worst - Brixton 13th July 2005, Band seemed exhausted, shit crowd, shit vibe, shit sound. Too hot. People kept passing out in crowd.
Best - Reading Festival 26th August 2007 -Expected it to be the worst, but the atmosphere was astonishing, Trent seemed really into it, beautiful weather, great booze, great setlist, sound, visuals were ace, best band of weekend won over 70.000 people there, memorable day. was wonderful.

Fucking co-signed. when MOTP started up, there was this huge surge forward and I rode the wave from behind the pit to the front rail, where I hung on for dear life for the rest of the show. Best goddamned concert I have ever been to, bar none.

Wow, this is really cool! I made a list like this on my facebook in "note" form for my own records, as nobody on my list gave a shit when I shared it, but I should totally sign up for one of those and list my shows and share them with people (you guys) that actually care about this stuff, haha...

On the other hand, the 10 shows I have attended are quite embrassing in contrast to the amount of some of shows you guys on here have attended...

EDIT:
I love how this automatically calculates all the unique songs you've seen, and all you have to do is just click on the show to add it that you have attended. Sweet! No need for unnessecary math trying to calculate the songs one by one.

http://www.nintourhistory.com/signature.php?userid=4958 (http://www.nintourhistory.com/profile.php?userid=4958)

So out of all 10 shows I have seen, they played Wish, The hand That Feeds, Terrible Lie, March of The Pigs, Head Like A Hole and Gave up at every single one of them.,
Guess the next show I see I know those 6 songs will definatly be on the setlist...

I have 8 "The Frail"' but only 6 "The Wretched", funny how that works out.

Here's my profile (http://www.nintourhistory.com/profile.php?userid=4957).

I should also have seen them in January 1995 in Moline, IL but the show was canceled by a blizzard.

My favorite show was my first one - UIC Pavilion, Chicago, Sep 3, 1994. I'd been into them for about two and a half years at that point, which had felt like an eternity for a kid who had just turned 17. I had just for the first time been able to see actual video footage of an NIN show when they had played Woodstock about three weeks prior. As a result, when I was going to the show, I thought I had a pretty good idea of what the show would be like, what the set list would be, etc. Holy crap was I wrong. Between those two shows, they had started the "Further Down the Spiral" tour and completely revamped the setlist, adding tons of new songs from The Downward Spiral. The opening bands were Marilyn Manson (whom I had just gotten into at the time) and Hole (who I didn't care much for). Everything about NIN's set blew me away and my friend and I pretty much talked about it non-stop for the next month.

I don't know if it's the "best" show, per se, it's just that no matter how good a show is today, it'll never be as good to me as shows were when I was a teenager. It's not them, it's me.

It appears that Ash512 and I's first NIN show was the same show. The [With_Teeth] club show at the Kool Haus in Toronto in 2005, and that just so happens to be my faviourte show from the bunch. I guess I hold that show dear to my heart for a few reasons, the main one being it was my first NIN show after liking the band since 1998 I never thought i'd ever get a chance to see them live living in Winnipeg where bands like NIN were totally unheard of stopping through town.

In 2000 I had 2 friends travel to Toronto to see them for the fagility tour, and I regret not going to see that one with them, but it was in the middle of school and I couldn't skip school, let alone pay for my way to get there and a place to stay as I was 16 and didn't have a job. So when "The Fragile" came and went, and we didn't hear from Trent for so long, I thought he was gone for good. Then he came out of nowhere back in 2005 saying he was making a comeback, and at this point I told myself, I don't care what it takes, I know he's not coming to Winnipeg, I gotta make the plunge and go to Toronto. Especially the fact it was a club show was all the more reason.

So we have the fact it was my first show, and it was a club environment that made it that much more special and I was pressed up against the rail for the whole goddamn thing and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

The second runner up would be the NINJA show at the Pearl in las Vegas in 2009. Once again, nice intimate and interactive club setting seeing the band in again, the crowd was awesome, very tame, wasn't a bunch of tards pushing and showing and kicking and punching, seems like everyone there were genuine fans there to just rock out to the music. Was right up at the front for the one again, and the setlist was KILLER! That show takes the cake for best setlist, that's for sure. That's when he really started to bust out the rare songs (on that tour) and it was awesome.

The Worst show I attended would probably be Rexall Arena in Edmonton 2005. I had just travelled from Winnipeg seeing the fall 2005 arena tour there (ironic since I opened my story with saying the band would never come to Winnipeg, eh?), and I originally had a floor ticket, but I was having breathing issues (my lungs kinda suck) so at the last minute while waiting in the spiral line all day with other fans, I traded this one guy my floor ticket for his seated ticket and like $100 as he really wanted a floor ticket and I was concerned about my health and knew that the Edmonton pits are CRAZY ROUGH, I felt it was for the better. The show itself seemed OK, but I was sitting in the stands alone, where the people I went with were rocking out on the floor, so it kinda sucked. Then someone spilled beer on me and my buddies Edmonton show lithograph. He gave it to me to protect while he was in the pit and some jerk from behind me spilled his beer all over the posters. At that same show, the front barrier broke and the band stopped playing for 10-15 mins. Some tour guy came on stage and said the band will not play anymore songs until EVERYONE in the pit takes about a 10 foot step back, as they actually were so crazy/rough they managed to make the front barrier move up about 10 feet. So they needed everyone's co-operation to STEP BACK while they fixed the barrier, and you could imagine just how well that went over... asking 100,000+ rowdy fans to step back in the middle of their rock show, yeah... good luck.

Favorites were the first one in 1995. (was also my first concert ever.) special guest Adam Ant!
Webster Hall made me feel like I was 15 again. Electricity in the air that night.
Traveling to London and hearing Year Zero in its entirety before the show was cool.
Fall With_Teeth @ MSG. Soundcheck & Meet & Greet

Those are just the tip of the iceberg. So many memories of meeting/hanging with fans. Making lifelong friends. I could write a book based on my life with NIN. (not the thrill kill kult)

Here is mine.

I am almost ashamed that I've seen NIN unfortunately only 1 time in all these years - Zurich 10 days ago.
In 2007, I wanted to Berlin already hat tickets - unfortunately had to fit through disease and in 2009
Dusseldorf and Berlin was on the plan. Unfortunately, the shows were a week and unfortunately I do not get holidays.
For that I will visit in 2014 as many gigs as possible - cost what it may.

favorite one? tough choice.

MSG in '94 was my first, and that was just insane
MSG in '00 when Manson came out just blew the roof off the place
PNC in '06 I was second row
House of Blues in '08 was a pretty bad ass intimate performance

worst?
PNC in '09 only because they came on before JA

I'm not sure if it's possible but is there a way to add soundchecks that they let fans attend?

That has been requested a few times. I have it on my list of features to add, but no plans to implement it just yet. I imagine getting accurate soundcheck data will be a little more difficult than getting the concert setlists.

Speaking as another guy who runs a sizable NIN website: 'The guy who adds the shows to the website' - henceforth known as Rob - has a regular job and a social life, both of which have probably been impeded by traveling to different parts of the country to catch various shows. (That was his vacation) He's aware there have been shows since Portland, but he probably hasn't had time to add them to this site that he runs as a hobby, because he's catching up on life after vacation.

I've only seen NIN live twice, but both were worth it! Missed out on merchandise in '09, but took shitloads of photos (mainly of Robin Finck...he was directly in front of me). In March this year, I got merch (yay!), less photos and 6 videos.

*edit* I was thinking about old tours and the custom stock used for "The Spiral" & NIN.com tickets. Now that NIN2014 is nearing the end, it seems like they only created 8 different designs for the fan club tickets:

http://i.imgur.com/EB5ep9a.jpg

I'm pretty sure the 2014 shows for Japan/Australia/Latin America & Europe/UK didn't have any exclusive ticket stock, but I could be mistaken.

Favorite show:
2005/06/26 Nijmegen, Rockin' Park

Despite being a festival gig, this performance had the most amazing crowd I've seen at a NIN gig. (This may have something to do with the fact that it was a small 1 day festival and NIN was closing on the secondary stage. So, no of the customary "WTF is this?" you get at festivals. All those douches were watching Lenny Kravitz/REM on the main stage.) Anyway, that tent went completely nuts.

4 shows seen with 63 unique songs performed.

Unfortunately I wasn't very familiar with the band back in 2007, which resulted in not knowing all these fantastic tracks that were played (Reptile, Dead Souls, TDTWWA) which I haven't heard live since.

Luckily I did see the full LITS and Tension productions after becoming a big fan, as well as a Wave Goodbye show in Europe with an insane 27 track setlist.

Edit on 8/5/2014: now 5 shows with 65 unique songs performed.

Was really hoping to break the 100 unique songs with this last tour! But I'm still happy with my stats.

Interesting. I'm at 97. Only seen 12 shows instead of 17, but I saw a Fragility show (including The Beautiful People) and 3 of those last Wave Goodbye shows (including one of the TDS ones and a bunch of encores). Maybe another LITS or Tension show would have gotten me to 100, but that would be very lucky. Just randomly adding in shows from all different tours is giving me just 1 or 2 more songs unless I go back to the Self Destruct or PHM-era shows. Also kind of interesting that deleting the 2 (back-to-back) NIN/JA shows from my list gets rid of 5 songs.
