Anyone see this?

http://www.amazon.com/Assimilate-Critical-History-Industrial-Music/dp/0199832609/ref=tmm_pap_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1369923793&sr=1-2

As it turns out, about 3/4 of the way through the book Assimilate, there's some interesting discussion of NIN and especially a neat comparison of PHM to other industrial records before it.

Does the book also discuss PFP?

PFP? Er... Project Pitchfork? If that's what you mean, then they get a mention, but not a whole lot of coverage. The book gives a lot of time to how early noisy industrial gave rise to dancier and rockier stuff across the 80s. The 90s and 2000s get a few chapters though, and it's very good overall.

I just got this book too. It's very good so far. One of the best parts is all the song references to earlier and more obscure industrial music. I had Youtube playing them all as I read.

I miss the meathead perspective... My lady and I still go around saying "Haaaangin with Jeordie!"
