Didn't see a thread for this show yet.

Edit: I'm going to hold off and not go to NYC after all. 3 hopeful shows this leg, I'll save money from this show and hope for a Philly stop next time around. Happy ticketing (and show) everyone!

My kids will probably go to this one. One lives IN Brooklyn, and the other goes to school in Albany. This will be the first tour where we have to go to separate shows :(

Anybody went to a show here before? Good venue? Do they serve Brooklyn Lager? Or dare I say: Brooklyn IPA!? It is Brooklyn, after all. Enjoying my favorite beer while enjoying my favorite band, that'd be something.

Anyway. If all goes according to plan I'll snatch up a bunch of tickets for this next week, then book a flight from Sweden immediately. Been wanting to see a proper NIN show since drooling over the AATCHB dvd. Europe always gets (for obvious logistical reasons) a somewhat scaled down show.

Anyone know if there is a pre-sale code or do you just need to log in @ nin.com? On the Philly thread someone mentioned the code is BUDS. Thanks.

I'm so glad NIN is playing the Barclays center and not MSG. I went to the NYC show in 2006, which was great, but I just hate MSG for completely irrational reasons.

Definitely going to this, and my Mom wants me to get her a ticket because she wants to see the Barclays Center. I kind of blinked and was all "Seriously, mom? You remember what Nine Inch Nails is, right?", but she's all into it. So I apologize in advance for the loud redheaded woman in attendance who will constantly be saying (in a voice that really carries) "What's that? Is it supposed to make that sound? Is their equipment broken?"

Error messages for me, initially. I think it had something to do with me looking at the Montreal show, because it was complaining about something in my cart being the wrong currency (even though I had 0 items in my cart). Still trying...

Note that you can't get in easily from the tour page for this show, but you can get in if you click on another pre-sale and then click on Brooklyn. I got tickets for Boston and for NJ easily but this one was the only one with this glitch. Also the tour page is taking forever to load on explorer - but it worked with Firefox. Just passing this along in case anyone else had the same problem.

There are lots of tickets on Stubhub.com, I just got mine there. Phew, for some reason I thought it was going to be impossible to get tickets once the NIN presale sold out, so relieved that I get to see this show.

I am sorry to report that my Mom will NOT be attending, apparently she thought the tickets were going to be like $30. Oh, Mom, it's not 1970 anymore.

EDIT: Actually screw it, I bought two more tickets, my Mom is going too. NINE INCH NAILS FAMILY FIELD TRIP.

We love the NINE INCH NAILS FAMILY FIELD TRIPS too - have had a few in our past. Will not be taking the family with us to the Brooklyn or NJ shows but we are using "college tour" as an excuse to take the family to the Boston show (even though one of the family is already a college senior).

I still can't believe that I'm going. I try not to think about it too much, because I already know how overwhelming the hype will be with in one week to a few days before the show. I'm going to have a hard time sleeping the night before again, and will make sure to have a Monster Energy drink on the exact day of the show. And as it turns out, I'm going to be in row 10 at seat 19. I sometimes wished I was able to take at least one or two other people with me, but they couldn't go for simply leaving too far away, or not being in town by then, and studying abroad, etc.

This will also make it my 3rd NIN show, and I suppose it's nice to see that I didn't have to go all the way to Long Island this time around. And as somebody that doesn't go to rock concerts regularly, I don't think that's a bad number at all. I saw my other two shows in 2005 in Manhattan at the Madison Square Garden and 2009 at the Nikon Theater in Wantagh, NY. I also sometimes wished it was at the MSG, but this is almost as good for my commute from Bayside, Queens. This will also be my first NIN concert alone.

yeah! going to this one, too. just couldn't resist after seeing those 5 seconds of rehearsal footage and realizing i'm going to be staying like 10 minutes from the venue that night.

for those familiar with the area: if i have time, i'm thinking of saving a couple dollars and walking the ~30 minutes from 14th street + 4th ave and getting something to eat on the way. should i walk up on 5th? is there anything worth checking out on the way? (interesting stores, cool buildings, etc.) and do you think it'd be a good idea (i.e., safe) to walk back after the concert?

i'm not familiar with the area, but i can answer questions about manhattan (or jersey city, but i wouldn't expect that) if anyone is doing any site seeing.

I hate that nervous feeling I get before going to a concert despite being psyched. (From being late to having a hard time finding my seat.) However, at least it's been cheering me up knowing that I'd actually get to see NIN. I wish I could've brought my best friend who's also a NIN fan though, but it just wasn't meant to be right now.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF 12 FUCKING DAYS NOW. & :D (Yeah, my emotions are hyper/crazy like that.)

anyone else waiting to pull the trigger for stubhub tix at the last second? i'm hoping to get $40-50 decent seats when all is said and done

edit: also in general response to all people wondering about the Barclays - ive been here numerous times and it's a really great venue overall. awesome food inside and great sight lines.

THERE IS STREET PARKING!!! i know this is shocking to most people but be patient and willing to deal with some dicey traffic and you can end up 2 blocks away with a free on street parking spot.

if you want public transportation there's subway stops all over the place along the 2 Southbound line. you can catch the 2 from Grand Central or Penn Station.

there's great bars and restaurants everywhere. walk in any direction and you'll hit them. safe neighborhood (all of NYC is safe if you know how to act though)

go explore, have fun. google and hopstop are your friends.

My brother and I are going to be hanging out at Pacific Standard, 82 4th avenue, down the street from Barclays, before the show. Cool place, microbrewery with a ton of great local choices on tap, plus excellent whiskey. Definitely the type of place people from ETS would enjoy. Check out the website here (http://www.pacificstandardbrooklyn.com/) or just google image search to check out the interior. Who am I, you ask? Nobody. So we need to queue in one line to get the tickets, then go queue on another line to get in? Seems like an unnecessary inconvenience.
Also means that my brother can't get on line at 4pm and I join him at 5:30 after work.. since it says that both ticketholders need to be there for check-in. Damn, that sucks, but I guess that may have been the point

If check-in is at 5, they specified in the email that you must show ID at check in, and I'm the ticket holder, sounds like I do need to be there :/

Please make sure your guest is with you at the time of ticket pickup as they will not be able to pick up the ticket without you and will need to enter with you. Immediate entry is required upon checking-in. Once you are checked in, there are no ‘”ins” and “outs.”
...
· You cannot check-in unless your entire party is with you and you cannot hand/assign your tickets to someone else.

so, its looking like I will be able to go... should I stubhub the ticket now or wait and see if prices go down?

one thing I've noticed is that all of the GA tix on stubhub right now are UPS delivery, which means I would have to do it soonish to get the tix on time -- or does anyone think there will be download tix available day of?

I would play it safe and get it now. That's just me, so I wouldn't have to worry about it later.

GoodSoldier333
10-09-2013, 10:45 AM
FYI those UPS tickets should be dropping lower and lower in price because whoever is selling them only has x amount of time left to ship em out. The instant download tickets (especially the good seats) will drop little by little in price, but you'll see the sellers hold out as long as possible (usually up to the day of the show even).

Nothing you didn't already know, but i had to kill a few minutes before class so let's not say anything. heh.

GoodSoldier333
10-09-2013, 12:25 PM
Just check the seat layout for the venue. Usually every GA ticket is numbered to keep track of the number of GA tickets sold (or something like that), BUT if the GA is separated in portions (like some venues do) then yes, its specific GA to that section.

I'm sure I'm saying this partially due to being all the way in the Bayside or Oakland Gardens area, but I wished it was in either Madison Square Garden or Irving Plaza. I checked the way in, and from the part of Queens in reside in, those two locations are more convenient commutes from my house. I also wished there were concerts held in Queens, but that seems to never happen. I just hope that it's in Manhattan the next time around. I even remember the last NIN concert I attended being all the way in Long Island, but I was very thankful to have a ride at the time.

It just seems like NIN concerts are never held in Queens, nor has he ever performed in Queens. I don't think I've even heard of any rock concerts being held in Queens too.

I'm sympathetic to you, but MSG is fucking awful for concerts. I've never been to barclays before, but I hear great things about it.

are there any good venues in Queens? Sorry, Manhattanite here. I went to the PS1 for the summer fest this year, and it was awesome, but definitely not conducive to a normal concert.

Kris - I've noticed this new trend for all NY concerts, for all bands, now being held in Brooklyn. No more MSG or Irving Plaza. It's the hipsters fault.

Yeah, I've figured. :p I felt lucky to see Killing Joke at Irving Plaza though.

I actually had a good time at my first NIN concert in MSG. But I do understand if the sound is really that awful to some there. And yeah, I see what you mean there too, but Manhattan is still a decent commute to a concert from where I'm at, aside from other areas of Queens. And well, thanks for understanding.

Barclays doesn't break up the GA floor with barriers, so all GA tickets are the same regardless of the number, it's just a way to track them.

Down here solo from Rochester and obviously need more NIN friends. I'll be wearing my Wave Goodbye shirt from Chicago. Don't know any of you guys as I haven't really posted since everyone had to re-register awhile back, but i'd really like to change that tomorrow. I guess I figure that after 30 years I should start trying to meet some new people :) Hope at least 1 person will introduce themselves. Gonna try to get to the presale line a couple hours before check-in (I'll be in GA). Or if anyone's thinking about grabbing something to eat and/or drink beforehand and want to include a lonely transient, hit me up. Thanks!

Can't wait to break the 4 year NIN dry spell!

I'll be flying solo as well as none of my friends who are around are NIN fans. I will most likely be wearing a very distinctive white t-shirt with t-rexes done andy warhol style on it (because it will look awesomely out of place at a NIN show, THATS HOW NON-CONFORMIST I AM). If you see me, please come say hi. You can refer to me as "screwdriver" or "Jesse" (but which is my real name??). I may be drunk, because I'm a (barely) functioning alcoholic.

I'd love to meet any or all of you.

I'm just in for some relaxation and recovery prior to the Nine Inch Nails concert. I'll definitely make sure to post here around 1:30 AM - 2:30 AM on the 15th. It's like I'm on a mission, and then I'm going back here to report when the mission has been accomplished.

But seriously, I need to chill, as I'm getting all psyched/hopped/hyped up again. :p

Since I won't have early entry for this show, I'm going to chill in the city and have a nice dinner before the show. I hope to get a decent spot at the soundboard to absorb more of the visuals.

I have two great seats for tonight section 24 row 7 on the aisle. I can't go. Will take less take face just don't want them to go to waste. Make a reasonable offer, prefer to meet in LI or queens. These were presale tix so obviously they have my name on them.

Going to throw it out there one more time: I'm gonna be hanging out at Pacific Standard bar with a couple of people before the show. It's located at 82 4th avenue, literally down the street from Barclays. If anyone is looking for a place to drink before the show, I think you'll enjoy it.
