With Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

I think I'll be roadtripping down from Boston for this one - who else is going?

I want to go to this show. Anybody up for a road trip from Southern Ontario or Buffalo area? I haven't been on these boards in a while...great to be back!

Edit: Scrap that. Can't afford the ticket prices to go to this show too.

I plan on going to PSU since there's no Philly show.....Bryce jordan Center does have excellent sound...I saw Rise Against and A Day to Remember there.

That Made In America fest looks pretty interesting though. Pretty decent lineup. I was going to go when they were selling tickets for $99 for the 2 days.

Here's the venue's capacity information for the show's layout:

http://i.imgur.com/wymvGMk.png

So, the floor holds a little over 2,000. Does anyone know the breakdown of available seats for the NIN.com pre-sale? I can't imagine it would be more than 400 for the GA floor.

jessamineny

The figure I've seen thrown around is 8%. If it's 8% of total available tickets (and they split it up between floor and premium seats), 400 wouldn't be far off.

Well of course I was working in an area with no cell service yesterday when the live nation presale went off so I relied on my son getting me 2 seats....I ended up in 111...kinda where I wanted to be since the visuals will once again be awesome!

I'm somewhat interested in a road trip from Boston. I've obviously got the Boston show and both Vegas show already confirmed, and given the cost I've been hesitant about this one - but anyone else is interested, I could easily be persuaded.

Don't you have at least a paper map, or something? Anyways head west, and north a bit:

Is this at Penn State ? Sorry, totally clueless. I got my ticket. Road tripping from Chicago. I can drive it in under 10 hours and its a weekend. And it's nin. Good enough for me. It could be in a barn. Don't really care!

Yeah, it's Penn State. There's (almost) literally nothing around it other than the campus. Been there a few times for work and was wondering why in the hell this has been chosen as one of the venues, half the population is for the college and doesn't make sense to get this for budget minded students.

It is a bye week week for the football team though.

No disrespect for the community or the people going there, just don't get why they're playing in it. Hope it's a good show regardless.

Not sure if you checked, but maybe this'll help?...

And holy crap, there's nothing around there. Been to Penn State a few times for work- best thing I could find for a drink by the hotels was some sports bar, and then down the road was some restaurant/brewery.

As an note, it appears cameras ARE explicitly allowed at this show, although their bag policy precludes bringing anything too large. (no bags allowed, basically). Might be a decent opportunity anyway for those who are into recording shows, though.

Well, it's literally IN Penn State, there was a Pittsburgh date already, and there isn't much else around. So I'm guessing college + dedicated people driving 1.5hrs+ from Harrisburg or further. (Personally, I'm coming down from Binghamton).

Actually based on advertising, it's being treated as the Philly show despite the fact that Newark, Brooklyn and Washington are all closer.

Probably leaving Scranton about 5, which would put me at the venue at about 7... unless there's an ETS meetup or anything beforehand, I could probably head out earlier. Looking forward to the show, I got a chance on tickets last minute and wasn't expecting to see this leg of the tour! Purposefully staying away from too much info, but the little bit of peeking I've done at reviews/impressions sounds like it should be an awesome show! Has anyone heard anything about merch on this tour? Wonder if it's worth bringing a few extra bucks.

Finally it's concert day, driving over from Wilkes Barre in the afternoon and checking into the hotel , then it's time for dinner and then to the show. No rush since I have seats and not at all interested in Godspeed you band. Saw them in Philly for the LITS show and saw HTDA in jersey in April so seeing Trent twice in a year is just awesome.

The time taken of my picture during the first song at Newark was 8:52. That was a 7:30 show and this is an 8:00 show so I'm going to guess NIN is going on stage about 9:20 but I'd get there earlier of course if you can.

Oh, ETS, it's been so long! <3

I'll be there tonight, I can't wait! My friend got sick, so I have an extra ticket in Sec 107 if anyone's interested.

It's true that there is literally nothing around except Penn State. That means a ton of bars/restaurants, though. Parking shouldnt be an issue as the football stadium is in the same area. Not TOO bad getting out of there.

They've been getting on stage about hour and 20 minutes from the time that's on the ticket from my experiences at St. Paul and DC. I think that's about right for the Pitt show too.

Most festivals have a policy where you can't play within a certain number of miles within a certain period of time. They played MIA in Philly on 9/1... Probably the same reason there isn't a Chicago Tension stop.

Just got back to my hotel from the show. It was artistically, emotionally, and technically perfect. We got reptile instead of piggy, in two, and burn- my wish list. We got sanctified coming back for an encore. Pino sounded killer on bass. The backup singers sounded otherworldly on even deeper and black noise. Just like the one did on gimme shelter with the stones. I was on the floor and we got a white wristband with alternating orange and black jack o lanterns. To access the floor, we went to "portal 15," kind of funny. They had "portals" instead of "sections." The lighting rigs and light curtains were like an electric octopus, never seen anything like it. I drove 9 hours to be here, worth every second. Good night, thanks NIN
