Interstate 5 bridge collapsed over Skagit River (http://www.seattlepi.com/local/article/Interstate-5-bridge-collapsed-over-Skagit-River-4544826.php)

The search for anyone still in the river is ongoing and there is currently no word of injuries or fatalities.

This reminds me of when the Interstate 35W bridge collapsed in 2007.

3 people went in the water, all three came out, with various levels of injury, but it looks like they're all going to be okay. One of them was in the navy and popped his dislocated shoulder back into place to help his wife!

REALLY lucky, the I-5 can be crazy busy, there could have been more cars go in with the bridge.

Cause of the collapse was an oversized semi truck taking the bridge (illegally of course) and the top of his truck hitting the span, which basically caused it to buckle.

Even better, the bridge was officially listed in the state of Washington as 'functionally obsolete'. WELL THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW SINCE I'VE DRIVEN OVER IT LIKE 35 TIMES.
