I noticed there was an Alexisonfire thread, but no thread about Dallas Green's new work. At least none that came up in a search. I personally enjoy the "Sometimes" album the best, but it's all good. I like the folky tune. Any comments about the band? And similar artist you guys like? :D

Love that song. One of the better album closers the last few years.

New record out shortly (already leaked). The Hurry and the Harm. Hearing good things. Got it ready and waiting for me tonight at home. Can't go wrong with Dallas. The man is officially a Canadian legend and musical genius.

Fuck it while I'm here, some of my favorites.

This was a serious summer anthem for me and the boys years ago.

And of course, Sam Malone

and because he has every right to do this (it's not as good as the original Alexis track in my eyes but it's an absolutely beautiful interpretation nonetheless)

His new album is coming out 4th June. City And Colour actually got me into Alexisonfire. I saw him play a concert hall in my home town and it was pretty special.

I need to delve more into City and Colour. One of my best friends is absolutely besotted with them [she was also massively into Alexisonfire, has the "old crows/ young cardinals" bird tattooed on her ankle] but I've never felt any desire to explore beyond Bring Me Your Love, which is a sensational record. I need to check out more. I saw they were taking pre-orders for a box set of their new album and was very tempted. I may well check it out over the next few days

Listening to Little Hell for the first time... it's... OK. Doesn't have the immediacy of Bring Me Your Love and the mix sounds weird to me, like the vocals are slightly buried.

I never got into Little Hell, though I do enjoy Fragile Bird and Silver&Gold. But the next, The Hurry And The Harm, is great. Give that one a go.
