Surely most of you are aware of the mafia hit man known as the Ice Man.

Apparenly Michael Shannon plays Richard in the movie The Iceman: The True Story of a Cold-Blooded Killer.

I know that Mickey Rourke was suppossed to star in The Ice Man, Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Ice_Man,_Confessions_of_a_Mafi a_Contract_Killer&action=edit&redlink=1) back in 2010 but that movie has been listed as "in development"

WHen you watch the IceMan interview you really see that this would be a great role for Rourke but that might never happen now.

Anyone see the Michael Shannon version?

I saw it at TIFF this year. It was a solid film, however the only thing spectacular about it was Shannon's performance. See the movie for him putting on a clinic more than anything else. Although to be fair the rest of the cast is extremely respectable, it just doesn't combine to amount to more than the sum of it's parts. Still very enjoyable for it's genre.
