A place to discuss the bad guys of cinema. Villains, monsters, viruses, zombies, aliens, michael bay, flora and fauna, machines, serial killers, mythology, etc.
I enjoyed a good zombie formula just as much as anyone, but the over saturation makes me wonder if the band wagon has stifled creativity somewhat.
Perhaps in the rush to capitalize on one popular idea, others are being left undeveloped. Or not.
With all the reboots and remakes happening, perhaps originality is dead...
One recent idea that stuck with me was the sentient bug from Absentia. An ancient creature who exists in the cracks of reality preying on people for funsies?
Fook that.
