Commence general fapping over your setup, your favourite piece of kit, etc, questions and answers, trading post.

I'm runnin' lean right now, with naught but a Squier Bullet guitar and Zoom 505 multi-effect pedal, and a Korg Poly-800. I do a lot with Reason and Cubase. Anybody have an opinion on the Korg Kaoss KP2? Thinking of picking one up.

i like kaoss pads.. I had a kp3 for a while and the effects are nice, the looper is terrible though which is why I returned it, it just was not fit for what I wanted. I still use a Mini KP live.
The trick is with gear lust is to look at what you are doing 'live' or in the studio and think 'is that new toy going to do something really special or just complicate things?'

That said I added bright orange pads to my MPC for no reason the other day...

So I can see it better yeah? plus the pads are much thicker so it actually registers lighter touches now.

I'll just leave this here (http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=1775acec-83de-4747-825f-efd0c13da757). The shitty monitors-on-plastic-cups have since been replaced by Yamaha MSP7s. After at least a decade of making music on the computer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015HK68I?ie=UTF8&tag=theninhotline-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0015HK68I), I've tried to move almost entirely outboard, only using the computer to mix and record - sometimes recording on an H4n instead.

I feel I have just about all the gear I need, after years of buying and selling and trading and deciding to pare down. And then the Artiuria Minibrute came out... man, really kinda want that. I love my Tempest and MS2000, but the sounds that come out of that Minibrute - and it's only $500?

I've been able to restrain myself from outright buying one, but I have been working side jobs here and there to put money aside nonetheless. I'm not sure where I'll set it up though. Maybe it's time for some wall shelving :|

Oh - and aside from this, I have a Mapex jazz kit in the basement that I wail on from time to time. And I actually use this stuff - see also: Up Your Cherry (http://upyourcherry.bandcamp.com/)

Okay, haven't decided on the Kaoss KP2 yet, and saw a SuONOIO blue on Craigslist. Opinions? Whatever I buy would be for both live and recording.
