Here is the introduction thread, if you're new here and wish to introduce yourself to the community, this is the place to do it. I also thought this would be a good place for old members to reintroduce themselves (since 1 month real time is like 6 months internet time) and to see who made it through the migration to the new site.

As for myself, my name is the same here as it was in the old ETS and I have been hanging around/posting for nearly 5 years.

I was Jadezuki on Ye Olde etse and I joined the first month or so, but I haven't posted regularly in probably a few years. Oh, and I was also a mod on The Spiral (!) a million years ago. Hello everyone! Great to see ETS back on its feet. My visitations to the old ETS started dropping off after Trent wrapped up NIN for awhile, and I don't think I'd even really visited at all during the past year, but I was quite sad to hear of its temporary demise.

Anyway, I think I originally joined ETS in 2005 or so, right around With Teeth (my text file with my old ETS password in it is dated March 30, 2005, so that would be about right). It's nice seeing some familiar names in here; many thanks to folks for getting this beast back online!

Let's try and remember... I think I started off on alt.music.nin and then migrated to Seems Like Salvation or Nothing.net (maybe they were the same thing). They started getting a little wonky and I was relying more and more on ETS around 94-95 (I recall some folks with hang tags and corn starch in Cleveland or Columbus) but mainly lurked about. I want to say I was 140db back then, but I could be mistaken.

I think I took a wee hiatus after Fragility SLC and went back into the shadows and then began posting again in 2005 when the rumblings of a club tour were being whispered about. Who the fuck knows. Anyhow, I was FullmetalAlchemist on the old version and FULLMETAL on "The Spiral"/NIN.com.

I was around when SLS was still around, Digital Noise and then ETS. And the official NIN forums (the Fragile era ones, and then the Spiral, and now the latest iteration). Before that (90s) I was on IRC and Usenet in various industrial rooms (Efnet/Undernet #industrial and rec.music.industrial, alt.noise, alt.ambient, etc.). Been listening to NIN since '89/90 (I'm 39). I don't post much anymore, but still love Trent's music.
