A quick search for a few of things from the list shows that I seem to have most of the things i don't have as .mov as .mpeg instead. I was wrong, they were all there, just with different names.
Sick of bastards transcoding things.
But i do have the full set of old fan vids, among other things.

I'll crosscheck your list with mine and get back to you later with see below for what i can contribute.
Most of my collection i got after it was renamed, so it may take a while to sort through.
I actually just deleted a whole heap of duplicates in my collection yesterday, great timing!

Unfortunately, here's a list of files i don't have, aren't thereand i can't even remember

from an old backup of nin.com that i have, here's a list of filenames and urls:

When i tried to save them all years in 2005, the links were already dead. (nice one rob)

I think that's the source of all the transcoded files i have.
The list even credits the asshats fine upstanding members of the nin community who did the transcoding.
Maybe they can be contacted to find the originals, but i expect they deleted the originals after creating their "contributions" to the ninternet.

But, there IS a .mov section on the page (scroll down), which is at least helpful enough to confirm filenames and sizes - particularly for the files i have that aren't in the list we have.
Working on that right now.

Is 00000.mov the 4MB "_" file, or did you find out about it someplace else?
Any idea about the size, or what they're rehearsing?

There are two byit teasers with different dates. One says "early 2007" at the beginning, the other, which is now available online says "02_27_07".

I guess it IS from nin.com, so it's within our scope.
But it does increase the total size to 2.2gb, so maybe they should just be kept separate. (I'll torrent those today)

I think this whole collection should be included in some sort of nin archive page, maybe with the files from some of the old nin sites like thingsfallingapart.com (I have some of the files, but the waybackmachine didn't get them all. The complete set of song part swf files are there, but only the flat, poster, and v-1a images were archived, and index.swf and tfamain.swf were not indexed.) If anyone can find the files I'm willing to host the archived websites on my webpage. We could call it the ninternet archive or something.
