Stegdetect isn't returning anything interesting, the EXIF data of both of the 08's shows a value for thumbnail length, the others don't. Exporting the thumbnails of the 08 pics doesn't turn up anything interesting either. I'll try some file extension changing, but I'm not expecting much.

They're wallpapers for Macs; they're the same things as the other ones.
Edit: fart

I have not taken a look at all the old stuff that was already figured out in the arg for a while now, but have the letters on the barrel of the gun been looked at?

The way I've understood it is Mac users won't see these files, Windows users see them but can't do anything with them. It has something to do with the way Macs create .zips

Files that start with dots (and happen to be named the same as other files in the folder) are invisible files that're a byproduct of how Mac OS X handles files. Don't worry about them, you won't seem them on OS X unless you tweak it to let you see invisible files.

great, we now have a better understanding of the Mac OS. What about the pics, i've got nothing so far. Guy with submachinegun, anything ever come out of the number and letters on the gun before?

the biggest thing that stands out for me is the barcode like noise on the far left of 01.jpg. barcodes are ways to represent 1's and 0's however, i wouldn't know the first thing how to decode it.

That does look barcodish, but I have no barcode reader.
I didn't spot anything of note in the iPhone wallpapers.

Nothing on the wallpapers.
I triple checked each standard, widescreen and iPhone wallpapers
and there aren't any clues or standouts.
Sorry guys.

I wish someone in charge of this ARG would just tell us if it's over yet. Whether it be in a Trent blog or a section on 42's site... just SOMETHING. All the players that stuck around through the AIR amateur sweepstakes and ETS elite flamewars are desperate for some YZ fun. Until someone says something we'll continue to gasm whenever something new comes out.
