Is Joshua Clay London mural painter?
I don't know if this was found already.

For what it's worth...

I was going through my RSS feeds and saw this BoingBoing post about artist Joshua Bell. Doesn't that woman sitting in the chair on the cover look...familiar?

EDIT UPDATE: Go to the Follow The Shadows site and look at the last panel of the "Pleading for redemption" mural. This is DEFINITELY the same guy.

how come the people who worked on art for the ARG and YZ never talk about it?

i was looking at hydraulx's website, because they did the presence and the great divide pictures, but they weren't listed for the things they've done.

i can understand why you wouldn't say you are doing artwork for the ARG, and then one of us stumbles across that.

I guess when you think about it, if you hear someone's name, do you bother to look it up? But when you discover them in the process of looking for clues, you are more inclined to remember them and look at their work more closely and try to understand what message they are seeking to put across.

Well, if I was a part of something that big with that many people looking for information and names, I wouldn't wanna mention my association too soon, if at all. I'm an artist myself, and I'm now trying to not incorperate too much OSR into my work. Maybe a little imagery from YZ, but that's really only when painting or sketching.

But yeah, I can understand why he wouldn't just put it out there for everyone to know. Any publicity is good publicity, but there's still only so much that you want to give out before people don't leave you with any privacy.

not to mention if current day artists claim the work it kind of ruins the back story and its purpose in the arg.

I like that he looks like such a nerd.

Seeing him against it certainly does put the sheer size of the mural into perspective, too. It's a shame such a great piece of art was just painted over.
