I may have an extra slot for one of the custom AIR cases. Would anyone be interested in helping to make one last case, but rather than the usual stuff, we could fill it with, I dunno... letters or notes for best wishes, for both the resting soldier, and his family?

I've never been real supportive of the war, and most of the time that I hear about the passing of soldiers, its still too impersonal for me to connect. Perhaps the article, the photo, and the connection he shared here just struck me a little different.

I posted a little about this in the "this is not nin spotting" thread, but decided to move it before I go off topic. Please move this if it's not in the right spot.

I`d love to send soemthing to them, this being my first post. I`ve signed up purely to send something. If you could could you print this out and chuck it in the case. Hopefully it will show the family just how music has spread the word of their son. Thanks

im up for this as well. as soon as you get more details, be sure to let me know. this is a major tragedy that has affected all of us in one way or another, the least we can do is a send a kind-letter. im sure his family would deeply appreciate it.

Would you rather have people write letters and mail them to you, or would you like to get e-letters and you print them yourself? I'll do either.

I will leave that up to everyone, I think. If you think you could express your thoughts better through writing it yourself - either typed, or by hand - by all means, please do so. If you want to send me a document to print out, please do so. As a heads-up: I use OpenOffice so I may not be able to use the most current versions of Word documents, so, nothin' fancy, there, please.

Shipping for the case will be $8.95 (a flat rate box). I am thinking about painting it so that the case stays army green, the stripes of the flag are alternating red & white, the top-left is blue, and the star is white. Too political? Let me know.

I'd love to contribute whatever I could as well, but I've been really busy lately...mainly with finding a new job and makin' money again. I'll let ya know if I come up with something I'd like to include in this project.

I don't have a particular date for when I need this by, since we're not even done with making the current boxes. I also don't have the spraypaint or stencil for making these, yet; just, whenever we can do it. If someone thinks that it's a better idea to skip using the big stencil, and use one of our smaller, metal stencils, please say so.

I want ample time for people just coming here from the Hotline to add their voice here. Also, wrath, if you are still offering to make photocopies, maybe you can be the one that the work is sent to before it gets to me. (I am not really comfortable with putting my address in the forum, so, if anyone else IS comfortable, then please volunteer to be the letter-holder who will send them straight to me.)
