Which version of Pushit do you prefer?
Ænima or Salival version?
Pushit is my favourite song and on first listen I didn't like the Salival version. Now, it's my favourite song and imo far superior to the original.

Salival Version > Original Version
And yeah, same thing happened with me..at first I didn't really care for the Salival version but after a few listens I realized how freakin' amazing it was! Heh, that song is probably one of my favorite Tool songs.

Salival>>>Ænima, even after seeing the original version live a few weeks ago. Still doesn't compare.

SALIVAL VERSION FTW
But honestly, Salival made me realize how much I like the song in general, so I'd be very happy if we get that at the Balti show instead of Right In Two like they've done at a couple of shows.
Fingers crossed,

I like both but I think I also prefer the Salival version, although I think Maynard's singing during the last lines is awful, I'm talking about:
"Remember I will always love you,
As I claw your fucking throat away.
It will end no other way."
cool lyrics but I can't stand the way he sings that part.

Yeah, I love both versions but I'll chip in with everyone else; Salival is even better than the original.
And they played 'Push It' at the Baton Rouge show a couple of nights ago. It was awesome, & I managed to get an almost complete video recording of it on my phone. Crappy quality, but I've still been playing it repeatedly.

I don't think I've screamed the lyrics so loudly at a concert in my life as when I saw them play that a few weeks ago. I think I screamed to the point that I was lightheaded.
Don't know what that says about me, though.

^^ It says you're a real fan, not some pretentious asshole in a Tool shirt. XD Yeah, but anyway, I fucking love that verse of the song... on my cell recording I can hear myself screaming the chorus- poorly. L.ol.
Push It definitely ranks as one of my top ten favorite Tool songs.

Salival by far, plus I love the way it sounds live. While Aenima is one of my favourite albums I absolutely hate the production on it. I know they are fans of the melvins, which would explain the muddy sound, but it just seems to me like everything is buried in the mix by the guitars. Their live sound is more defined and crisp, especially on the latest tour (I would love to hear original pushit live, maybe my opinion would be different).

It says that despite all your achievements and good deeds, at the end of the day you are a Tool fan and therefore partially mentally deficient. I say this not as an insult, for I too share your affliction. You may remember that I ran into the back of a car several months back. I have become convinced that it is because I am a Tool fan. In fact all the stupid things I do and say are a direct result of my love of Tool.

I hear that if a tool meathead bites you, you turn into one yourself, complete with bad personal hygene and an unquenchable desire to have maynards babies.

i love both versions... it really just depends on my mood : the aenema version just kicks ass and is a amazing example of the artsy progressive metal nature of tools music and i feel is the essential version of the song .
The salival version just blew me away when i first heard it and shows another demension of tools versatility as artists. I found it amazing how they totally transformed the song into something i never thought it could be.

My theory explains this kind of behaviour too.
