Nice graphic. I'm a fan...good to see this continuing to take off from humble beginnings.

Anything I can do as far as the site is concerned? I'll be e-mailing you sometime this evening RE your private message...

Good news! The site is now online. This is a rough version to meet the deadline, but look for changes in the near future.

An excellent start. Nicely done indeed, and thank you for putting a link to petition UK Parliament. Although I did find the shade of red a little hard to read. Perhaps you could up the brightness a little?

This sounds like such a cool idea, I wish I wasn't late to the game here (stupid exams and such).

Another possible thing to put on these tiles would be the adage from the OSR vid: "Wake up and give a shit."

Act two isss the real world not the ARG.
It is what the subversive networks did to try and stop our world from being the year zero world.

LoLLerskates *HUGZ* of all places I found some linoleum in my parents basement today I bought the crack filler and I am going to make a small AiR flag tile (about 6" by 6") and place it at the nearest busy intersection tonight or tomorrow to test the design and production methods ill have pics and info after that to help you guys with yours

I tried salvation army and thrift stores around the area (there was about 6) and the general consensus is that they get thats stuff in there every once and a great while so if you find linoleum in a thrift shop consider yourself extremely lucky

also I went to Lowes home center and they have Armstrong Linoleum for sale there in some pretty bland colors and a whole book full of colors like "lemon yellow" and "rocket red" that would be perfect the project only thing is that you have to buy 45 tiles at $0.68 a tile. which is $30.60 no mixing colors in the custom ordered boxes either Sad

still looking for free or cheap tar paper scraps cause i dont want to shell out 13.99 for a 300 yard roll

Of you find that your method works and is effective, could you poss then give us all a real basic step-by-step guide as to how you did it? Like, really dumb it down for us (well....me...) Razz Sounds great, but I wouldnt want to do anything wrong

Have just posted a bulletin around myspace (not much but it's a start) and here is the slogan I used:

APATHETIC?

Speak and you WILL be heard.
Fight and you WILL be free.
Unify and there WILL be change.

www.defineapathy.org

Does that work do you think?

ok so websites up

posts on social networks are up

now all we need to do is refine the page and make these damned tiles

Like is said in a previous post I think we will just go and buy two colors of the linoleum tile 45 count boxes and distribute them accordingly with instructions... then the only thing I cant really get ahold of is roofing felt / tar paper scraps. anyone have surplus?

I gotta say this was a great thing... but website lost out somehow...

there are links to OSR and AIR?

the way it's set up... it's just a gateway to OSRglobal

now it's just another 'resistance' website that will get loaded in a browser for about 10 seconds by your average citizen Sad

and they'll back out even quicker if they follow the link to OSRglobal

I'm all for distancing this one from ETS specifically and some of the AIR stuff in general. I'd like there to be as little chance that people could view this negatively due to the whole affiliation to a band as possible. I think credibility is lost when elements of the ARG find their way into reality. I mean, remember, despite what we're getting out of it, it IS just a viral marketing campaign...

I believe that our website should include:

*Links to major reliable news outlets, and also...
*Articles that compare and contrast the ways that different outlets report the same story.
*US voter registration information
*Comparable information for points abroad (?)

I thought the primary idea/goal here was to inform others of issues and awareness, not 'resistance' recuitment

I like the look of the site a lot but have a few suggestions:

The first paragraph is very hard to read, brighten it up or make the font a little bigger.

hiddenhills wrote:
This isnt the official definition of the word but i though it fit the cause well

Apathy:
A state of not caring; not wanting to know; complacency; indifference; to ignore; disinterested in contemplation; anesthetized by popular culture; a postmodern intellectual narcosis; compassion fatigue; too lazy; too busy; self-indulgence; limited choices in work and leisure-time; non-reflection, non-deliberation and subconscious blocking of distressing information. Apathy is less ethically excusable than ignorance. ...

I personally liked this "definition" better than the one that is up.

I understand this was done very quickly and is just basic but this site has a lot of potential. I'm thinking a lot more links, pictures, quotes, etc.

Good job for getting it to look that good within a matter of minutes! Just so you all know, SLC is definitely participating in this. I have a couple people interested in helping me out and we will attempt to find all materials this weekend.

Cool, e-mail my profiles e-mail address ( not the DefineApathy link its broken as of now ) with ideas, links, pics, articles, video, or whatever you would like to see up there.

The guy helping me with hosting (ETS name: Rye) and web design is acctualy doing another project to try to highlight the fashion / club / art industry in Detroit to promote it for big businesses in the area so any changes to the site can be fine tuned by us before they are acctualy up.

Im seriously considering buying a 45 tile box of "lemon yellow" and "Rocket Red" (90 tiles in all) Linolium tiles this would be enuf for those who have come forward so far. Still lacking tar paper but then again if Im buying the shit I should just go all out and buy the paper.
