can't Puscifer have more upbeat songs instead of sad and gloomy like this?

I personally like their 'sad' songs better than the quirky, upbeat ones. I think 'Lighten Up, Francis (JLE Mix)' is all the upbeat I need from Maynard. Razz

It's weird to think that the someone actually prefers the upbeat Puscifer over the darker stuff. I guess it's cause I felt deceived once I heard Cuntry Boner and almost everything else afterwards.

New shirt design in the 'coming soon' section of the official site hints at supposed Fall 2010 Tour.

The show here was awesome a while back...hopefully they roll through again, though I doubt it.

Don't get your hopes up, all the tour shirts from the spring tour were misprinted and said "Fall 2010".

V is for Vagina deluxe edition for the original mix and the JLE Dub Mix is on the Underworld: Rise of the Lycans soundtrack.

In other news, it also turns out that it's streaming on the site. Whoops.

i get it that 'sad>quirky' but goddamn this Rocket Man is over-the-top sad, it evokes a picture of wounded, paralyzed old man on a hospital bed praying to meet his ancestors, without hope of healing.

...you do know that it's a cover, right?

Also, to me, it evokes a picture of a man blasting off into space, because he's a rocket man.

Didn't know it's a cover, honestly. Of course it's great when musician evolves from songs like Cuntry Boner/World Up My Ass, but doesn't he want to save some darkness for future Tool album, for example...

man... it's one of the most famous songs Elton John ever recorded. You don't have to be a fan (I'm not) to be familiar with it. This is like saying you've never heard "Tiny Dancer."

I'm not trying to mock the fact that you don't know the song, it's just surprising. I guess I just assumed Elton John and his music was a household thing around the world.

Ok... the joke must be on me. You can't be serious. On a NIN-related board, to have someone saying that Maynard's autotuned rendition of Rocketman was so depressing and personally affecting that you didn't even recognize that it was a cover. I must be jaded.

They REALLY didn't change the song that much. At all.

I think he's fucking with us. It sounds very similar to Sir Elton's. I love this version, will definitely have to buy it.

Stewie Griffin also covered it Smile
