I am to the best of my ability. It's just annoying to see all of you flock to this thread and demand pictures of the CD/Booklet/Case. It's really disturbing. Where's the patience?

Trent intended for this to be a personal experience when seeing the CD for the first time. But you all are turning it into a public orgy of sorts. I feel bad for all the work that Trent put into this--to be honest.

Yeah, this bothers be too... but what can you do? You should know that NIN fans and Trents work are like buzzards to a dead carcass (except in our case, the dead animal happens to be an amazing concept album that happens to be "Quite noisy" AND "fucking cool").

The only thing you can do is ignore it.

So a leak of the album was inevitable, sure. Trent & co had a back up for when that would happen, but this? I think this will have ticked them off big time. Way too mess up the ARG early for everyone!
I don't mind if people want to see scans of the cover but the fact that it's covered with ARG related stuff just spoils everything.

Personally dude. Music is about music. The art is only ONE PART of this whole thing. This experience IS personal. In the effect of the different ways we've collected info. the experiences we've had etc. I don't think he'd be as pissed as you think. The info found on the retail copy has no actual info on the websites yet. They will release the info in the time they dictate... As far as the cover art goes. You make the decision to click those links.

If it makes you feel any better, I and many others are holding off on the artwork side of it - though I am enjoying your new music stream while at work.

I already expressed my viewpoint earlier, but what's honestly most disturbing to me is how some of you people can download the leaks and then start bitching over this. The art looks fabulous and it has truly whet my appetite. Maybe we shouldn't have seen it yet, but you can't argue against the fact that you're part of the fucking problem.

I do agree with that though. ARG is being spoiled big time. The ARG spoilers should have been kept a secret. But I also wanted to see teh packaging bad. I'm not participating in this whole Game thingy. But I can understand that you guys must be very upset right now.

i'm just glad that the new clues don't lead to anyhting important yet. We all knew thier was going to be more info with the album packaging, now we only know where to look in the future, we don't really have that much more information than we did before someone scanned a jacked cd.

did anyone think that maybe it's not the end of the world here? You know, if they REALLY didn't want us to find the sites, don't you think that the page wouldn't be up yet and you'd just get a "page not found error" until they were ready? Those sites have NO information on them, how does that spoil anything? If you can make heads or tails of them, good for you--it has no bearing on the ARG right now for most of us.

GET OVER IT, complainers. What's done is done--nobody killed anyone. I understand that it's a spoiler but bitching that you read a spoiler when the thread is CLEARLY marked is your own fault.

I agree. This happened the last time (I can never watch Billion Dollar Baby now) and it doesn't come as a total surprise to me that it has happened again. It's one of the big disadvantages of the internet for artists, I guess. But despite that, I cannot see any fans that still aren't enjoying the ride.

I am sure there is still a LOT more to come, he said 18 months...don't get me wrong. I don't advocate the leaks. And if it was not intentional, which seems clear now, then I do feel bad for Trent because I can understand that is completely SUCKS to have the work out there before its time. But like I said before, there were intentional leaks, how to discern if this was intentional or not (before, I mean--now it's pretty clear).
