You should receive authorization confirmation almost immediately.

Once this is done, you can sit back and wait for updates whenever yearzero.nin.com get updated, or one of the troops has something to say.

As I said, I have to approve people manually - this is currently a primitive bot.

I tested it this afternoon with Drunkpoet and teknolust, and it appears to be working.

Basically, its wget -r + diff -rq + a POE Jabber client (for those that care :)

When I get some time, I'll add in other features - like maybe checking when Merzbau's summary updates etc. and maybe an auto-approve for adding contacts.

couldn't sleep... changed it to run at more random frequency, and to let you know if no changes were found. I populated the first day or so's worth of messages, but if anyone wants to add to the storyline, PM me some more - short, to the point and fitting in with the back story. My creativity is waning :)

Crap - didn't think about godaddy's parking page changing on the fly. If this triggers an invalid update notification on next check, I'll remove deadcop-opal.com from the list until it's live.

How long does authorization usually take?

Up to 8 hours. I tend to be asleep from Midnight-7am PST. Rest of the time it's when I can be bothered :)

sorry if this is a dumber question than i think it is, but does the address have to be in GTalk or Jabber? for instance... could i add it to my Hotmail contact list?

^ any jabber client - not hotmail. I *may* add in transports (gateways to other IM formats), but not just yet.

Anyway, I've just updated Shatter. Soon, you'll be getting updates from the troops, and I've stopped monitoring the viral sites for now (except yearzero.nin.com). Any suggestions, throw them my way...

Is the tracker still working? The vids found recently claim that the nin yearzero site was modified, so if the tracker is still tracking it shoulda caught it.
