I'm finding it difficult to comprehend how you can make a comparison between those two songs really.
both songs are the first leaks from the upcoming albums

He's probably referring to them being leaked before the containing NIN album hit. Other than that, I'm with you.

tlbtb was, if I remember this correctly, the first With Teeth song which leaked in good quality. I think thats the basis of the comparison.
EDIT: shit, I didn't see that this was already posted. sorry!

Ok, I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before....
In the MTV.com article about all this stuff, Trent says that the album is songs from a bunch of perspectives in the new age. I think that My Violent Heart is from the Angry Sniper's perspective.
My reason? The ID3 tags (or whatever those are actually called), when you look at them in iTunes, direct people to Another Version of the Truth. Trent is singing in the song about there being violence in his heart. The Angry Sniper is being discussed at AVOTT as the first act of violent resistance. Does this make sense, or am I totally off base?

I don't know why, but to me MVH sounds more like a song from a remix album...so strange

Did we ever get the actual data from the flash drive Scelerat found? Or do we just have the cut and paste of the comment text? I'm curious if there might be more to it.

Thx, but I'm looking for the Madrid content. I've got the cut and paste from the forum, was kinda hoping for the actual mp3 file. I'd like to verify that the id3 info is the only thing that changed between the 2 versions.
EDIT: At any rate, the spacing is clearly different on the madrid file.

they just played MVH on Q101 during the " last letter game" and the dj sed that they got into alot of trouble by playing it yesterday, that record people called and were really pissed. that sed she continued on to say " well i dont care if i get in trouble, i mean if i get in trouble just for playing a song then..." she kinda had this resistance in her voice like she was gonna defiy the powers that be. made me think of about this whole experience and made me think further that the radio stations are in cahoots with this whole yearzero experience. i mean i remember when they mistakenly played "Cochese" by AudioSlave, and they stopped it half way through cuz someone called them on it and they never played it again until the acutal release date. thoughts?
