That's a pretty good cause. Also, it's a very appropriate reason for NIN to get this kind of exposure. What other reason would you really want NINE INCH NAILS performing live on every music channel. That's cool. I'll be setting my video cassette recorder.

According to the article on mtv.com, the broadcast will be "a mix of live and taped performances and messages". So it might not be a performance, but a message. Or something.

I'm really hoping someone records this (which seems likely). I don't have cable (and don't use Micro$oft), but don't want to miss it. I would rather donate $50 a month, than pay to watch tv.

My vote is for a "Still" like version of The Fragile or pissed off Trent doing The Hand That Feeds, either would be meaningful to me.

I am quite sure that there will be no performance of any kind. I REALLY hope I am wrong. This is my prediction. I think Trent will come on and say:

"Hello, I am Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. I lived in New Orleans, LA for a good part of my life. It holds a special piece of my heart. My thoughts go out to all the victims of this disaster and I ask you to donate any money that you can to the charity of your choice to help in the relief efforts. Thank you."

Why? It is a mix of performances and talking. I cannot imagine him not performing, I just don't see the " Hi I'm Trent.........It seems so unlike his style. I could be wrong but it seems to me that he would perform.

haha. no hes not preforming. if you read the MTV thing it clearly says preforming.... and messages from artest.... other atrist with connection to louisiana/miss ....(trent). my logic tells me we will be lucky to even see him considering he is on tour. and he isnt even conected to the "messages" section
