I mean, really. Humidity is beneficial for your skin and your lungs - breathing in dry air isn't so enjoyable. Count me in for a summer meetup.

Having lived in Phoenix (aka lil' Kabul) for 2 years, I'll take a sweaty long weekend in the City of Brotherly Love anyday. Count me in for a 3-ish day escapade.

I lived in Tempe for 10 years - ASU grad - but grew up in Florida. I love taking vacations in hot, humid places in the summer time!

Huh??
I guess compared to England we might, but it sure depends on which part of Canada. In general, our air is pretty humid compared to say ... Nevada.

well when ShotgunDuchess moved to Edmonton, she had a ton of nosebleeds due to the dry air there. that's what i'm going on. i realise that canada's massive and probably has some variation though!

Actually I only had the one, but it was a gushing river of blood, pouring from both nostrils, which I would not llike to be repeated. I live in constant terror that I'll have another one. Also I use a lot of moisturiser.

And I don't recall finding the air in Nevada to be all that dry, but the fact that the heat there caused my entire body to be constantly bathed in sweat probably threw me off.

Either way, I can deal with the dry, dry prairie air, but I shall welcome the hot, soggy East coast air. Especially if it comes with cocktails.

Well it's hard because I can take some days off of work pretty much whenever the hell I want to.

But just to make things easier, I'm gonna go ahead and put my vote in for April 08' - a year from now.

Well, I'm still rooting for late July/early August, purley because that's when me and Jordan will be able to take holiday. Of course, if I can bully Jordan into *gasp* asking for an extra week off sometime, then I'll be totally easy with regard to the date.

Also my vote, perfect time of year for me + money should be a plenty for me then. I'm also assuming the weather will be good too yes?
Definitely AFTER March (too much going on that month with Paddy's Day and everything)

Yeah, April is fun like that. You never know what it's going to be like weather-wise. I enjoy such unexpectedness, hence my choice.

But like I said, really, ANY time is fine with me. My schedule is nice and flexible.

I think the length of the trip should have at it's core a three day weekend so those who might not be able to go mid week can still do the main activities. Then we can have activities or whatever on the day before and the day after the three day which are not as popular as the three day ones. Expand another day on each side for aditional things to do. Of course, no one would be required to do anything, but hell, if you came all that way, you probably should do something with the others. In other words - most popular activites on Friday to Sunday, next most popular on Thursday and Monday, least popular on Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, we could just plan one or two things on the weekend and leave everyone up to their own mischief the other days.

I would prefer April or early May since I hate the heat. I am used to the dry California air so heat and humidity won't mix very well with my system.

April would be a good time to go, blossom, Godzilla, probably nice but not too hot & an excuse to carry a big black umbrella...when I was in DC this was my favourite time of year along with fall, the extremes of summer & winter were just a bit too much for my english blood.

I think making the "core" of the trip over a 3 day weekend (fri/sat/sun) is an excellent idea. Doesn't matter to me when we take the trip considering I can deal with thin air AND crazy humid + heat.... thats what I get for living in Alabama and loving to snowboard (aka I love colorado).
